Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents an encore of choreographer Jodi Melnick's sold-out 2016 commission, NEW BODIES. This Works & Process commissioned work weaves together dance, spoken text, and moderated discussion with live music, featuring New York City Ballet dancers Jared Angle, Sara Mearns, and Taylor Stanley in a role originated by Gretchen Smith, with harpsichord by composer Gy rgy Ligeti, violin by composer Heinrich Biber, and commissioned music by Robert Boston.

Ensemble for the Romantic Century has announced that joining Tony nominee Robert Fairchild in the Off-Broadway premiere of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein will be Avey Noble (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Krysty Swann (Mozart's Requiem at Carnegie Hall; Verdi'sRequiem at Lincoln Center), Mia Vallet (Lucy Thurber's Asheville at Rattlestick), Peyton Lusk (Falsettos on Broadway), Rocco Sisto (OBIE Award for sustained excellence), Shiv Ajay Pancholi-Parekh, and Paul Wesley ('The Vampire Diaries,' Cal In Camo).
Ensemble for the Romantic Century has announced that Robert Fairchild will choreograph and star in the next production of their 2017-18 season, the Off-Broadway premiere of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.This will be Mr. Fairchild's Off-Broadway debut as well as his debut as a choreographer.
There are just eight performances left to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's holiday engagement at New York City Center before the season finale on New Year's Eve. The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present its latest work, A Quest for Freedom, at New York City's City Center Studio 4 on Saturday, January 13 at 7pm and 8pm, and Sunday, January 14 at 12 noon and 12:30pm. The performances will showcase the company's latest collaboration with the renowned Korean American classical music powerhouse The Ahn Trio during the annual conference of the Association of the Performing Arts Presenters. The collaboration, although planned over a years ago, has been influenced greatly by the current discussion on immigration during its development.

Sandy Duncan soared on Broadway in Peter Pan, made a splash in My One and Only, and rocked it as Roxie in Chicago. OnTuesday, January 9, the multi-talented, three-time Tony Award nominee comes to Palm Beach Dramaworks to take part in the popular series Dramalogue Talking Theatre! Duncan will appear live, onstage with Sheryl Flatow, to discuss her fascinating, 60-year career that began in a summer production of The King and I in Dallas when she was 12. The program will be presented twice, at2pm and 7pm, at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has returned to the New York City Center for their annual season in what has become a joyful holiday tradition for many-including myself! This year's season is full of new works, new productions, and familiar and beloved Ailey favorites. I was fortunate to be able to attend the performance on the evening of December 12, 2017.
