Giant Pictures has acquired the US rights for Bruno de Almeida's new movie, Cabaret Maxime, starring Michael Imperioli. It will open theatrically at the Metrograph in NYC on February 21st, ahead of a national, multi-platform rollout on March 3rd.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale announces the appointment of Francie Bishop Good as Chair of its Board of Governors. She succeeds Dr. Stanley Goodman, who will continue to serve on the board's executive committee.

National Sawdust, the music incubator and venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, announces the return of the annual FERUS Festival (January 10-17), featuring presentations from National Sawdust Artists-In-Residence and more. This annual showcase of untamed voices will present the latest in cutting-edge new music and multimedia, with an emphasis on performances that push the envelope. Each year the festival is a showcase for all that National Sawdust stands for as a music venue and nonprofit.

The International Center of Photography (ICP), the world's leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture, today announced the 2019 honorees of its annual Infinity Awards, the leading honor for excellence in the field. The 35th annual ICP Infinity Awards will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 2 at Ziegfeld Ballroom (141 West 54th Street, New York City). The Japan Art Association has appointed Caroline Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, as International Advisor to Praemium Imperiale. Starting in November 2018, she will preside over the U.S. Nomination Committee, recommending candidates for the Praemium Imperiale International Arts Award. Ms. Kennedy will succeed, Ambassador William Luers, former President of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who served in this role for 18 years and will become an Honorary Advisor.

On Monday, November 5, 2018, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) will host its annual New York Fall Gala at Cipriani 42ndStreet in New York City.  At this year's gala, EJAF Founder Sir Elton John and Chairman David Furnish will honor Ford Foundation President Darren Walker, philanthropist Patricia Hearst, and long-time advocate Joe McMillan, CEO and Chairman of DDG, with EJAF's Enduring Vision Award.  Nine-time Grammy Award Winning Singer, Songwriter Sheryl Crow will be the special musical guest, and Bryan Stevenson, Founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) and the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama, will be the featured speaker. CBS This Morning co-anchor and journalist Gayle King will host the event.

In 2015, Stephen Petronio Company culminated its 30th anniversary 2014-15 season with a transformation: the launch of Bloodlines. This autobiographical project not only honors the lineage of American postmodern dance, but also traces the influences and impulses that have shaped choreographer Stephen Petronio, an artist uniquely positioned to preserve this postmodern tradition.

Remember to React: 60 Years of Collecting is the first comprehensive installation of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale's collection. Presented on the occasion of the institution's 60th anniversary, this exhibition will occupy the Museum's more than 28,000 square-feet of galleries and will open to the public in two phases on September 9, 2018 and November 18, 2018. The exhibition will be on view through June 2019.

The Kitchen's Spring 2018 Gala celebrates Nan Goldin and Lydia Lunch, two iconic American artists whose careers were borne of, deeply influenced, and have now engrained in collective memory the underground artistic spirit and political underpinnings of pre-gentrification Downtown New York subcultures (May 16). The evening features performances by New York's own post-punk band Bush Tetras, saxophonist and vocalist James Chance, and Australian singer JG Thirlwell & Ensemble with special guests. The after-party, hosted by Nicolas Jaar, will include a DJ set by Veronica Vasicka as well as performances by Retrovirus along with Lydia Lunch.
