MIDDLETOWN Awarded Inaugural Horton Foote Prize for Promising New American Play

Will Eno's MIDDLETOWN - which will receive its World-Premiere at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) with previews beginning October 13, and opening officially on November 3 - is the inaugural recipient of the newly established Horton Foote Prize for Promising New American Play, it was announced by Mari Marchbanks, Founder and Executive Director of The Horton Foote Prize.

Day, Garrison Join Vineyard Theatre's MIDDLETOWN 10/13

Johanna Day (Vineyard's HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE, Tony Award nominee for PROOF) and David Garrison (Tony nominee for A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD..., 'Married with Children,' TITANIC) will join the previously announced Linus Roache, Heather Burns, Georgia Engel, and Michael Park in the World-Premiere of Will Eno's play MIDDLETOWN, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director for the Vineyard Theatre, full casting below.

Kleban's SAVING THE MuSE Plays 6:00 Musical Theatre Lab, 6/28-29

This month, the Amas Six O'Clock Musical Theatre Lab will present SAVING THE MuSE (based on GALLERY), music and lyrics by the late Edward Kleban (Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner for lyrics for A CHORUS LINE) and book by Linda Kline (Tony-nominated co-bookwriter of A CLASS ACT), developed and directed by Michael Bush. The Producing Artistic Director is Donna Trinkoff and the Music Director is Paul Wolfson.

Asia Society announces that Tony Award-winning star of Law & Order: SVU, BD Wong will lead the cast of a staged concert of 'Heading East', a Richard RodgersDevelopment Award-winning musical by Robert Lee and Leon Ko. Performances will be held in the Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium at Asia Society. Asia Society will benefit from the proceeds of the event, which is co-produced by Andrew Asnes and directed by Darren Lee.
