The New York Times reports that film producer Mike Medavoy ('Black Swan') and Rick Nicita of RP Media have teamed up to buy the film rights to the Broadway musical JEKYLL AND HYDE. Due to the effects from Hurricane Sandy, the Tuesday and Wednesday performances of Anything Goes at the DuPont Theatre have been canceled. Performances scheduled Nov. 1-4 will go on as originally scheduled. A Sunday evening performance will also be added. This performance will be made available for sale on Wednesday.
If I were to die very soon, there's no doubt that I would go to heaven, because Rachel York and the all-singing/all-dancing company of Anything Goes took me and a couple of thousand other people up to the heavenly gates with their spectacular opening night performance of "Blow, Gabriel, Blow."
