Obie Winner, Christopher Shinn's searing drama, DYING CITY will receive its premiere Los Angeles performance, Tuesday, November 18th as part of the Neighborhood Playhouse's Fall Play Reading Festival

Whats On Stage is reporting that London's Evening Standard newspaper has published the list of nominees for the 2008 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, the first awards of the UK season.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to announce Tony® award winner Michael Cerveris (Jorgen Tesman) & Paul Sparks (Ejlert Lovborg) will join previously announced Tony® award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Hedda Gabler) in a new Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. The production features a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and will be directed by Ian Rickson. Hedda Gabler will begin previews on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 and open officially on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement.

Due to demand for tickets, Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director and Brittany O'Neill, Managing Director) has extended the world premiere engagement of Stephen Belber's new dark comedy Fault Lines, directed by David Schwimmer. Fault Lines opened September 30, 2008 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). The run will now continue through November 9, 2008.

Youngblood, Ensemble Studio Theatre's collective of emerging playwrights under 30 (RJ Tolan/Graeme Gillis, Artistic Directors), will celebrate its fifteenth season this year with Asking For Trouble, the biggest play festival in their history. Youngblood has invited their alumni - 41 playwrights, 35 directors and 120 actors - to participate in the mammoth 5-day event, including many EST members alongside emerging talents like Johnny Pruitt ('Chappelle's Show'), Jessica Andres ('Gossip Girl'), Matt Lauria and Marguerite Stimpson (both of 'Lipstick Jungle').

The stars of the Showtime Network were out in force on Wednesday September 24th to celebrate the upcoming premieres of 'Dexter' and 'Californication'. Michael C. Hall and Evan Handler were on hand to promote and represent their respective programs, while Mary-Louise Parker came out to support her fellow network stars. The event took place at the Showtime House. Mary-Louise Parker will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. Opening Night on Wednesday, September 17th at 8PM is a special press night with a 'Meet the Cast' reception free to subscribers following the show. Regular performances including previews are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM, Sundays at 3:30PM and Mondays at 8PM through October 5th. Tickets are $20/ $16 for seniors and students. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Beast, written by Michael Weller and directed by Jo Bonney, will begin performances Friday, August 29 at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Monday, September 15 at 7pm. The production will run through Sunday, October 12.
