Fun Home, the highly-anticipated, Award-winning American musical opened last night, April 19. With music by four-time Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori, a book and lyrics by Tony Award nomineeLisa Kron and direction by Drama Desk nominee Sam Gold, Fun Home started previews on Broadway at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street), on March 27. The new Broadway musical An American in Paris is now in previews and just opened last night, April 12, 2015 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). An American In Paris is directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning film, An American In Paris brings this classic tale to Broadway for the first time with music and lyrics by George Gershwinand Ira Gershwin and a book by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas. BUYER & CELLAR is an outrageous new comedy about the oddest of odd jobs: 'an underemployed Los Angeles actor going to work in Barbra Streisand's Malibu basement' (The New York Times). Broadway star Christopher J, Hanke plays the lucky actor in this brilliant, hilarious and outrageously inventive comedy.

David Mirvish has finalized all the details and shows for his 2014-15 line-up of shows. There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series and nine bonus shows not on subscription. That brings the total to a record 19 shows for the 2014-15 season. The season lineup was announced during an event held on September 16 at The Royal Alexandra Theatre. The shows slated to play Toronto over the next year are: Wicked (now playing), The Book of Mormon (now playing), Our Country's Good (now playing), Arcadia, The Heart of Robin Hood, Blithe Spirit, Titanic the Musical, Kinky Boots, Disney's Newsies, Buyer and Cellar, Boom, Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike, Julie Madly Deeply, The Boy With Tape on His Face, Donny and Marie: A Broadway Christmas, Jersey Boys, Blades on Stage, Dame Edna's Glorious Goodbye, and Once.

Tonight at 11pm, 'musically thrilling' undie-rock, comedy-pop duo THE SKIVVIES returns to 54 Below, this time joined by guest stars including Matt Doyle (The Book of Mormon), Margo Seibert, (Rocky), Eric Anderson (Soul Doctor), Amy Spanger (Rock of Ages), Christopher J. Hanke (How to Succeed), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), and Morgan James (Motown).

The Shakespeare Theatre Company is proud to present Buyer & Cellar as a part of its STC Presentation Series. Written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett, Buyer & Cellar will launch its North American tour in Chicago in May before coming to D.C. Buyer & Cellar had its world premiere in April 2013 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, where it received rave reviews and played a sold-out, extended run before transferring to the Barrow Street Theatre where it opened June 24, 2013. Buyer & Cellar stars Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) as a struggling (and recently fired) L.A. actor named Alex More, who finds himself taking an odd job working in the Malibu basement of a Hollywood mega-star (and though her name is not mentioned, there are numerous similarities to Barbara Streisand). When the A-lister makes a rare appearance one day, the comedy launches into an outrageous look at fame and the price that accompanies it. Buyer & Cellar will run from June 20-29, 2014, at STC's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).
