The Philanthropist star Matthew Broderick and Sex in the City comedic ace Sarah Jessica Parker, welcomed twin girls on Monday, June 22nd. The surrogate birth comes a few weeks ahead of schedule, but the babies are reportedly healthy. The news was announced this morning by Barbara Walters on 'The View'.

After a 48 year absence, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.

As part of their generous support, Bank of America has made it possible for all tickets to the first performance on September 10 to be sold for $10.00. There's something special about hearing the natural sound of human voices in the theater. They become a symphony of verbosity akin to a chamber ensemble performing in a first rate concert hall. There are nuances and colors that are to be detected without the aid of amplification. Such is the case with the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of THE PHILANTHROPIST which is currently on stage at the American Airlines Theatre.
