Who Wants Cake? is pleased to announce its line-up of productions for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. The third full season kicks off with two hit musicals (back-to-back), continues on with a holiday staple, includes a world premiere and, of course, men in women's clothing.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 134 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. Those who accept the invitation will be the only additions in 2009 to the Academy's roster of voting members.
Signature Theatre, winner of the 2009 Regional Theatre Tony Award®, celebrates its 20th anniversary this season from August 11, 2009 through June 20, 2010. The season begins with the Broadway hit Dirty Blonde, a comedy with music about the notorious film legend Mae West starring Tony Award®-nominee Emily Skinner.
Ground Zero Theatre (GZT) and Hit & Myth Productions (H&M) follow two wildly successful trips through musical theatre, (Urinetown: The Musical and The Full Monty), with their gutsiest and most bold production yet.
