La Jolla Playhouse announces the next presentation in its acclaimed Without Walls (WoW) series, ACCOMPLICE: SAN DIEGO, written by Tom Salamon and Betsy Salamon-Sufott and directed by Tom Salamon. Part game, part theatre and using the city as its stage, this exciting interactive experience will take place in San Diego's Little Italy district, March 26 - April 14, 2013.

Moises Kaufman to Direct Daniel Beaty's THE TALLEST TREE Premiere at La Jolla Playhouse, 10/9-11/3

La Jolla Playhouse announces a fifth production for its 2013/14 season: the world premiere of The Tallest Tree, a new play with music written and performed by Daniel Beaty (Emergency, Through the Night), directed by Moises Kaufman (I Am My Own Wife, The Laramie Project). A co-production with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Tallest Tree will run in the Playhouse's Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre October 9 - November 3, 2013. The piece is produced in association with Tectonic Theater Project.

MEMPHIS Set for Fort Worth's Bass Performance Hall, Now thru 2/17

MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, opens at Bass Performance Hall tonight, Feb. 12 for a limited, eight-performance engagement through Feb. 17. The show is presented by Performing Arts Fort Worth, as part of its 2012-2013 Broadway at the Bass Supported by Sewell series.

Broadway Across America - Fort Lauderdale has announced their subscription series presented by Florida Theatrical Association in partnership with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts sponsored by Bank of America. From the creators of South Park and winner of nine Tony Awards, The Book of Mormon will play a limited three-week engagement November 26 - December 22, 2013. Season Subscribers receive priority ticket opportunities to shows so a season subscription is the only way to guarantee seats to The Book of Mormon.

High School Production of ALL SHOOK UP Cancelled Due to 'Offensive' Content

According to the Star, a high school in Utah has cancelled a student production of All Shook Up because of a 'sexually suggestive song.' Rehearsals for the production had already begun but the Herriman High School announced that a different show would be selected due to offensive content.

La Jolla Playhouse announces two additional productions for its 2013/2014 season. Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis) will direct His Girl Friday, John Guare's (Six Degrees of Separation, The House of Blue Leaves) acclaimed adaptation of the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur play The Front Page and the Howard Hawks film His Girl Friday, with screenplay by Charles Lederer, produced by Columbia Pictures. The production will kick off the season in June/July in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.
