Tony Award nominated actress Christina Applegate, who starred in SWEET CHARITY, is set to star in a currently untitled comedy pilot for NBC. The show will be an irreverent look at parenthood from the viewpoint of a career woman who never thought she'd be a mother.

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Christina Applegate is on board for NBC's still untitled Emily Spivey comedy pilot. As descibed by Deadline, the show 'is an irreverent look at parenthood through the POV of an acerbic working mother (Applegate) -- who never thought she'd be a mom -- along with her stay-at-home husband and opinionated parents.'

Christina Applegate, star of stage and screen, has confirmed to E! News that she and her fiancé Martyn LeNoble welcomed a baby girl into their family. Sadie Grace LeNoble was born Thursday, January 27 in Los Angeles. A representative for Christina and Martyn said that 'mother and daughter are doing great.'
