Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian and writer, teams up www.50KShoes.com to raise funds for Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity, and their ongoing relief efforts to the victims of the devastated country of Haiti. The charity has pledged 1.3 million of shoes, of which 120,000 pairs already sent, to be distributed to Haitians during a sustained giving plan in coordination with other agencies.

Tony Award Winner Kristin Chenoweth, who is currently developing a feature film based on the life of Dusty Springfield, told E! News back in April that she'd love to have Kerry Washington (currently starring in David Mamet's RACE on Broadway) play her lesbian lover in the film. Profiles Theatre opens its 21st Anniversary Season with the Midwest premiere of the drama The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production runs September 25- November 15, 2009, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 8:00 p.m.
