The world premiere of the comedy THIS IS 40 will be held at Grauman's Chinese, 6925 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Calif., on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. The screening begins at 7 p.m. following celebrity arrivals.

Matt Dillon received an Outstanding Achievement in Cinema Award Nov. 2 at the 15th annual Savannah Film Festival, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design. Dillon was honored for his work in films such as 'City of Ghosts,' 'Crash' and 'The Outsiders.'

Working Title Films and Big Talk Productions have commenced filming on THE WORLD'S END, the third installment of Edgar Wright's trilogy of comedies, following the successes Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fred Willard, Michael McKean and Ed Begley Jr. have joined the cast of Christopher Guest's new HBO docu-style comedy FAMILY TREE in recurring roles.

Deadline.com reports that HBO has ordered a 'direct to series', single-camera comedy from Christopher Guest titled FAMILY TREE. Guest will direct the series which he created and co-wrote with his frequent collaborator Jim Piddock

Beginning this fall, ENCORE will present 'The Big Miniseries Showcase,' a mix of classic and new critically acclaimed miniseries on Monday nights at 8pm ET/PT. The slate will debut with the U.S. television premiere of the ENCORE Original miniseries, 'The Crimson Petal and the White.' The BAFTA nominated two-part drama will premiere on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm ET/PT.

Nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2011 in five film and eight primetime television categories and for the SAG honors for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center's SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood.

ENCORE is set to debut Original award-winning series 'The Crimson Petal and The White,' a four part miniseries adapted from Michel Faber's Bestselling novel (2002).Part one and two of the sweeping and gritty epic will air exclusively on ENCORE Friday, March 6th beginning at 9 PM et/pt, with its concluding parts three and four airing Saturday, March 7th at 9 PM et/pt.

A new trailer for Lionsgate's upcoming comedy FRIENDS WITH KIDS has just been released. Written and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt ('Kissing Jessica Stein', 'Ira & Abby,') the film stars Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd, Adam Scott, Megan Fox, Ed Burns and Jennifer Westfeldt. The film is set to be released in theaters on March 9, 2012.

BAFTA has announced the five nominated stars who are up for the 2012 Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award, the only publicly voted award to be presented at the ceremony in February.

IFC's Summer Comedy Line-Up: Kids in the Hall, Whitest Kids U' Know and The IT Crowd

Pirate Radio is the newest ensemble comedy from filmmaker Richard Curtis (screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill, and writer/director of Love Actually), spinning the irreverent yet fact-based tale of a seafaring band of rogue rock and roll deejays whose 'pirate radio' captivated and inspired 1960s Britain opens on November 13th.

As previously reported, the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) confirmed on Tuesday that it had completed the purchase of Live Nation's UK Theatres (excluding their one third share of The Dominion Theatre). The acquisition is the most significant development in ATG's 17 year history.
