According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matthews, 67, has signed a new long-term deal to remain with the network through the next presidential election. Under his the new contract, the long-time news commentator will officially retire from his Syndicated Sunday show THE CHRIS MATTHEWS SHOW this summer. The final episode is set to air on July 21.

The annual White House Correspondents' Association's annual dinner was held on April 27, 2013. Proceeds from the dinner, which is well known for being the hottest ticket in Washington year in and year out, help fund over $100,000 in scholarships. This year's Will on the Hill is marked by a performance of Toil and Trouble, an original play by Peter Byrne written with assistance from The West Wing Writers Group. Will on the Hill will be directed by STC Associate Director Alan Paul and take place on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).
