Windy City Playhouse Announces Extension Of Immersive SOUTHERN GOTHIC

Amy Rubenstein, Artistic Director of Windy City Playhouse, announced today that the immersive theatrical production "Southern Gothic" has been extended through Sunday, May 27. From its opening, "Southern Gothic" has received unanimous critical acclaim.

Anna Camp and Thomas Sadoski to Star in BELLEVILLE at Pasadena Playhouse

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, announces a new Hitchcock-style drama Belleville by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award winner Amy Herzog.  Performances run from Wednesday, April 18 to Sunday, May 13; the press opening is April 22. 

Casting Announced for Simon Stephens' BIRDLAND at Steep

Jonathan Berry returns this spring to Steep to direct the U.S. premiere of Simon Stephens' Birdland. Stephens, who won the Tony and Olivier Awards for his The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, is Steep's Associate Playwright, and Birdland will be the fifth of his plays to be produced by the Edgewater ensemble. Steep Ensemble Member and Jeff Award-winning director Jonathan Berry recently directed Steppenwolf Theatre's You Got Older and The Crucible. Over the years, he has consistently produced some of Steep's most notable shows, including last year's sweeping epic Earthquakes in London and Laura Wade's Posh, which won the Non-Equity Jeff Award for Best Ensemble, and was nominated for Best Director and Best Production.

HINTER Extends Through March 17

With its original run almost sold out, Steep Theatre has added eight more performances of Calamity West's Hinter. Called 'taut, complex and a bloody good time" by Alex Huntsberger of TimeOut Chicago, this thrilling new play has enthralled audiences and critics alike. Hinter will run through Saturday, March 17.

Actor, Musician, Composer Delights at Seattle Rep in HERSHEY FELDER AS IRVING BERLIN

The story and music of America's Composer come to life on stage with Seattle Repertory Theatre's presentation of Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin, a play-with-music written and performed by award-winning actor and musician Hershey Felder (Broadway's George Gershwin Alone, Off-Broadway's Maestro; Our Great Tchaikovsky, and others). Steep Theatre presents the world-premiere of Calamity West's new play, HINTER. The play was inspired by the Bavarian Hinterkaifeck murders, where six members of one household were brutally murdered in 1922. The case was never solved. HINTER delves into that mystery and attempts to piece together what may have really happened on that fateful night. HINTER opened on January 25th and will run through March 3rd.
