In today's edition of 'SPIDER-MAN Swings Off Broadway,' check out the show's FULL history from it's inception in 2007 to future plans for a run in Las Vegas.

Today's edition of 'SPIDER-MAN Swings Off Broadway' showcases the show's highly anticipated and much-delayed opening night on the Great White Way. Spidey first 'officially' wove his web for an all-star audience on June 14, 2011 - over five months behind schedule - with an altered book, additions to the electric rock score, and a slew of new high-flying aerial feats, in hopes of puting an end to the criticism once and for all.

Today's edition of 'SPIDER-MAN Swings Off Broadway' features Spidey's time in previews, recalling the show's journey from its first performance in November 2010, until the revamped edition opened on Broadway 183 previews Later. From late 2010 through June 2011, all eyes were on the Foxwoods, as numerous actors sustained severe injuries, and on-and-offstage drama between the creative team and producers emerged, eventually forcing visionary Julie Taymor to walk away, and leave SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK in the hands of others.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the Mobile Shakespeare Unit's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING on Monday, November 25. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah and featuring choreography by Chase Brock, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING follows a three-week tour, bringing free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. The Shakespeare comedy will run at The Public Theater through Sunday, December 15, with an official press opening on Tuesday, December 3. All tickets are $20.

Broadway's most daring, curious, and talented artists are preparing to gather at Cielo for the Fall 2013 BC Beat on Monday November 11th, the showcase and dance party with it's own rules for sharing work and connecting artists. Continuing its commitment to bringing Shakespeare to the community and strengthening audience engagement with the arts, The Public Theater will mount its MOBILE SHAKESPEARE UNIT again this November with a free three-week tour to the five boroughs of Shakespeare's comedy MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah and featuring choreography by Chase Brock. The three-week mobile tour (November 4-22) will bring free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting prisons, homeless shelters, centers for the elderly, and other community venues, including stops at our Public Works community partner venues: Brownsville Recreation Center in Brooklyn, Fortune Society in Queens and DreamYard Project in the Bronx.

Jeremy Greenbaum (The Fantasticks) and Aaron Komo complete the cast of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson, book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Previously announced cast members include Margo Seibert (set to make her Broadway debut as 'Adrian' in ROCKY on Broadway in Spring 2014) as Tamar, with Ako (Throne of Blood), Erik Lochtefeld (February House), Mike Longo (Hair) and Vince B. 'Crossing The River', a discussion featuring interfaith leaders led by Reverend Susan Turchin, and 'The Power of the Voice', a discussion with innovative contemporary theater composers hosted by Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812's Dave Malloy, will be offered as free post-performance events following upcoming performances of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere of TAMAR OF THE RIVER. The announcement was made today by Cara Reichel and Melissa Huber, the Producing Artistic Director and Managing Director of Prospect Theater Company.

Just last week, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group announced the casting and initial tour schedule for their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera launching a major North American Tour in Providence, R.I. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America. The Public Theater announced today that Todd Almond (Ariel), Laura Benanti (Goddess), Carson Elrod (Caliban), Jeff Hiller (Trinculo), Norm Lewis (Prospero), and Jacob Ming-Trent (Stephano) have been cast in the free, original musical adaptation of THE TEMPEST, part of The Public's groundbreaking new initiative for community-based theater, PUBLIC WORKS. Directed by Public Works Director Lear deBessonet, with music, lyrics and book by Almond, and choreography by Chase Brock, THE TEMPEST will run September 6 through September 8 at 8:00 p.m. at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

The production stars Danny Burstein, Eisa Davis, Raul Esparza, Peter Friedman, Aidan Gemme, Judy Kuhn, David Margulies, Martin Moran, Michael Park, Robert Petkoff, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Anika Noni Rose, Matthew Saldivar and Henry Stram.
