The Flea Theater has announced the extension of the World Premiere of THE MYSTERIES - a radical retelling of the Bible. Playwrights commissioned by Jim Simpson and Carol Ostrow including Tony Award and Academy Award winners and nominees David Henry Hwang, Craig Lucas, Billy Porter, Jose Rivera and Jeff Whitty; Flea alumni, Mallery Avidon, Trista Baldwin, Erin Courtney, Yussef El Guindi, Amy Freed, Sean Graney, Nick Jones, Qui Nguyen, and Jenny Schwartz; and a host of notable newcomers, Marc Acito, Johnna Adams, Liz Duffy Adams, Bill Cain, CollaborationTown, Jorge Ignacio Cortiñas, Eisa Davis, Gabriel Jason Dean, Chris Dimond, Madeleine George, Kate Gersten, Sevan K. Greene, Kirsten Greenidge, Lillian Groag, Jordan Harrison, Lucas Hnath, Ann Marie Healy, Meghan Kennedy, Kimber Lee, Kenneth Lin, Laura Marks, Ellen McLaughlin, Michael Mitnick, Don Nguyen, Dael Orlandersmith, A. Theatre Aspen is so excited to kick off their summer with a special pre-season event! From the creators of Spring Awakening, which won eight Tony Awards® including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score, comes Alice by Heart: a fresh, modern, musical take on Alice in Wonderland.

Theatre Aspen announced the launch of a new play development series today, with the early workshopping of Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater musical Alice By Heart, based on the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Sheik and Sater are best known for their 2007 rock musical Spring Awakening which won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.

In a land not so far, far away, ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) brings SHREK THE MUSICAL from the swamp to the stage. Shrek is being presented today, April 26, at 7:30pm; Sunday, April 27, at 2:00pm; Friday, May 2, at 7:30pm; Saturday, May 3, at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 4, at 2:00pm. All six performances will take place in the Voorhees High School, Route 513, Glen Gardner, NJ.

A French accent will resonate through La MaMa Moves! this spring when four Gallic dance troupes, along with 11 other experimentalists from around the world, commandeer all three theaters at La MaMa for three and a half dance-packed weeks, May 2-25.

Marlo Hunter is the Director/Choreographer and Daniel Rein is the Musical Director.

Leapin' Lizards! Just weeks after the Tony Award winning production closes on Broadway, NJACT Perry Award winning ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) brings beloved Annie to Jersey audiences. Annie is being presented on Saturday, January 25, at 7:30pm; Sunday, January 26, at 2:00pm; Friday, January 31, at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 1, at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, February 2, at 2:00pm. All six professional-quality performances will take place in the Voorhees High School Auditorium, Route 513, Lebanon Township.
