The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway festival, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, returns this year with a line up of nine sensational productions.

What's on Stage is reporting that King Lear, starring Pete Postlethwaite, directed by Rupert Goold will be transferring to the West End at the Young Vic Theatre in 2009. The show will begin performances at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool in early November and is already sold out.

Tony Award-winner Diana Rigg and Lesley Manville will headline the cast of the Old Vic's stage adaptation of Pedro Almodóvar's acclaimed film All About My Mother.

On Sunday, June 10th, Rabbit opened at 59E59 Theaters as part of the Brits off Broadway festival. Written and directed by Nina Raine, Rabbit runs through July 1st.
