Local Theatre Professionals Launch Pennsylvania Theatre Institute

A new summer theatre program on the campus of West Chester University gives students the opportunity to study acting, dance, singing, improv, and design with Philadelphia's most respected theatre artists and educators. EgoPo Classic Theater Announces Cast of LYDIE BREEZE TRILOGY

EgoPo Classic Theater celebrates its 25th Anniversary with the 2017-18 John Guare Festival. As the centerpiece of the season, the company is presenting the world premiere of Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy. This three-part American epic can be experienced in three ways: as a three-part series spread over three months, a three-night marathon, or a one-day (nine-hour) marathon with built in meal breaks. The performances of these modern American classics begin January 31, 2018 with Part I, and will run through May 6, 2018. All performances of the Lydie Breeze Trilogy will be held at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street. Lantern Theater Company Presents William Shakespeare's Political and Psychological Thriller CORIOLANUS

Lantern Theater Company continues its 2016/17 season with its annual Shakespeare production, the rarely performed Coriolanus. Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon will direct a cast that includes internationally acclaimed actress, director, and author Tina Packer as Volumnia, Robert Lyons as Coriolanus, with Chris Anthony, David Bardeen, Mary Lee Bednarek, Kirk Wendell Brown, Charlie DelMarcelle, Leonard C. Haas, Adam Hammet, Brian McCann, Hannah Van Sciver, and Brock D. Vickers. This evening, in a celebration attended by almost 750 theatre artists, staff, critics, and friends, Theatre Philadelphia distributed 26 awards at the 2015 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre - now in its second successful season since relaunching in fall 2013.
