La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for His Girl Friday, adapted by John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation, House of Blue Leaves) from the Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur play The Front Page and the Columbia Pictures film His Girl Friday. Directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis), the production will kick off the 2013/2014 season, running May 28 - June 30 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will present a special Midnight screening at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (144 West 65th Street) of Stanley Kubrick's horror classic THE SHINING on Friday, March 29 following the opening of Rodney Ascher's documentary ROOM 237. ROOM 237 explores the opinions and commentary of cinephiles and dedicated fans of the Kubrick's masterpiece who each believe they have found clues embedded within the film that tell a story just as compelling as the film itself.
