Starz Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht announced that the network has picked up a second season of the original series, 'Black Sails' from executive producer Michael Bay in advance of its first season premiere. The announcement comes on the heels of the exclusive fan screening at San Diego Comic-Con several months in advance of its on-air premiere in January, 2014. Fans lined up on Thursday, July 18th for an exclusive Comic Con screening of the highly anticipated high-seas STARZ Original drama BLACK SAILS from Executive Producer Michael Bay.
The cast and creators will kick off the previously announced fan-only screening scheduled for Thursday night in San Diego. Additional surprise guest to be announced closer to Comic-Con.
