Comic singers Booth Daniels and Patrick Frankfort make their Los Angeles debut with their hilarious duo act on November 14 at 8PM & November 16 at 7PM at the Art/Works theatre after successful shows in New York City over the past year.

Rising Phoenix Rep Remounts Fringe Hit TOO MUCH MEMORY

Rising Phoenix Repertory has been joined by Piece by Piece Productions to remount the world premiere of Too Much Memory, written by Keith Reddin and Meg Gibson, and directed by Ms. Gibson, beginning Tuesday, December 2, at 8:30pm at Fourth Street Theatre, 83 East 4th Street.

Magic Theatre to Present EVIE'S WALTZ Starting 11/8

Loretta Greco has chosen Evie's Waltz to make her directorial debut as Artistic Director of the Magic Theatre. Evie's Waltz, written by Carter W. Lewis, marks the second play of Magic Theatre's 2008/09.

Court Theatre Presents 'Radio MacBeth'

Court Theatre continues its 2008/09 season with SITI Company's Radio Macbeth adapted from the play by Shakespeare and co-directed by SITI Company Artistic Director Anne Bogart and Darron L. West. The production will run November 6, 2008 - December 7, 2008 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. The press opening will be Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.

3LD Awarded $400,000 from Mellon, $200,000 from Rockefeller

3-Legged Dog (3LD), a leading experimental arts group, has been awarded $400,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and another $200,000 from the Rockefeller Foundation's New York City Cultural Innovation Fund.

South Ark Stage Presents World Premiere of Kesselman's THE BLACK MONK with Austin Pendleton

South Ark Stage (Rhoda Herrick, Producing Artistic Director) has announced that it will present the world premiere of the new chamber musical The Black Monk, with book, lyrics and music by Wendy Kesselman. Under the direction of Kevin Newbury, the four-member cast features Austin Pendleton as the Monk, Scott Robertson as Igor, Elon Rutberg as Andrei, and Sarah Ziegler as Tanya.

Jason Danieley and The Frontier Heroes Perform TONIGHT 9/22 at B&N

Broadway star Jason Danieley, and his band The Frontier Heroes, will be performing songs off her their debut album, JASON DANIELEY AND THE FRONTIER HEROES, as well as signing copies for fans. Tony Nominee Marin Mazzie will be making a special appearance onstage as well as at the signing table.

Columbia Stages Announces 2008-09 Season

COLUMBIA STAGES, the award-winning producing arm of Columbia University's Graduate Theatre Program, announces its 2008-2009 season. The highly political season will include Baal and The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht; Euripides' Medea; Big Love by Charles L. Mee; The Woman by Edward Bond; a co-production with Origin Theatre Company; a new adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales and the 5th annual New Voices New Play Festival. The 2008-2009 season begins October 22nd at The Riverside Theatre, 91 Claremont Avenue between 120th and 122nd Streets.

The Renaldo Ensemble to Play at the Brick Theater 9/25

Absurdist singer/guitarist Aldo Perez and company will host an evening of clown cabaret. The Renaldo Ensemble is a musical exercise in human ridiculousness and musically flits between bizarre episodes and silly antics.

Berkley Rep Receives 54K Grant To Produce 'Vibrator Play'

Today Berkeley Repertory Theatre, which in the last 40 years has earned a reputation for developing provocative new plays, received a prestigious grant to fund its 50th world premiere: the Edgerton Foundation presented this Tony Award-winning theatre with its coveted New American Play Award to support the latest work from the team that made Eurydice a national hit. The $54,000 grant will provide extra rehearsal time for In the Next Room (or the vibrator play), an elegant comedy that Berkeley Rep has commissioned from MacArthur fellow Sarah Ruhl.
