Hartt School's 'NICHOLAS NICKLEBY' Opens Tonight

Appropriate for its 18th year of existence, The Hartt School's Theatre Division has taken on a bold, boundary-pushing production incorporating talents from across disciplines and throughout the University of Hartford community. Opening tonight, November 3rd, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby is a Tony Award-winning play in two parts, presented over the course of six days, requiring three directors, many guest appearances, countless intricate costumes, and one towering set.

Sierra Rep Gives Christmas Carol Local Twist November 13 - December 20

?Sierra Repertory Theatre presents a brand new adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic with A Columbia Christmas­ Carol, playing at the Fallon House Theatre November 13 through December 20. SRT co-founder Doug Brennan recreates the English tale in a heart-warming Gold Rush story set in Columbia during the 1860s.

A Christmas Carol the Musical Comes to The Growing Stage

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey is proud to present the holiday classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical from November 20th through December 20th with performances Friday evenings at 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM. A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical is based on the story by Charles Dickens with music by Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid), lyrics by Lynn Ahrens (Seussical) and book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens. A CHRISTMAS CAROL the Musical is under the direction of Stephen L. Fredericks, The Growing Stage's Executive Director with choreography by Jillian Petrie and musical direction by Melinda Bass O'Neill.

Theatre IV's Musical Version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL Coming to The Alden, 12/12

An exciting new twist on an old favorite, Theatre IV's musical version of "A Christmas Carol" is coming to The Alden in McLean. Perhaps the best loved holiday story of all time, Theatre IV's adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic is particularly suited to children. Performances are at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tickets are $15, $10 for McLean Community Center district residents. The Alden is located inside the center, at 1234 Ingleside Ave.

CSU Fullerton's Fall Dance Theatre Opens 11/12

Nationally acclaimed Fall Dance Theatre is coordinated by CSUF Dance Professor Gladys Kares and runs November 12-November 22, 2015 in the Little Theatre on campus. Fall Dance Theatre includes original choreography by students, faculty, and guest artists. CSUF dancers were recently featured at Washington DC's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

URBAN STAGES Announces 20 Shows & 100-Plus Broadway and Cabaret Stars for 12-Day WINTER RHYTHMS 2015, December, 2-13

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director, Peter Napolitano, Producer/Director of Musical Programming) today announced the line-up for this year's Award-Winning Musical event WINTER RHYTHMS 2015, which will begin Wednesday, December 2 and will feature some of New York's best musical performances through December 13, 2015 at Urban Stages Theatre. WINTER RHYTHMS 2015 marks the seventh year that Urban Stages has brought noted musical artists to its stage during the holiday period. The mission of Winter Rhythms is to bring the talents of known and unknown singers, musicians, lyricists and composers to the attention of the New York theater community while performing at Urban Stages Theater. Winner of the 2015 Ruth Kurtzman Benefit Series MAC Award, WINTER RHYTHMS benefits Urban Stages' acclaimed Outreach Program, which brings more than 200 free "arts in education" presentations to libraries and schools throughout the five boroughs. KC Rep's A CHRISTMAS CAROL Begins 11/20

Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 2015-16 season with the beloved holiday classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Barbara Fields and directed by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Producing Director Jerry Genochio. Performances run November 20 through December 24 at the NEWLY RENOVATED Spencer Theatre. Kansas City's favorite holiday tradition is back for its 35th season, and the magnificent new Spencer Theatre promises an experience that's more magical than ever. Come share the joy of the holiday season, as our theatre transforms into a page right out of the classic tale by Charles Dickens. Richly textured sets, ornate costumes and spectacular special effects will transport the entire family into the tale of the grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge, who requires the intervention of a few ghostly guides to find the true meaning of Christmas - and life itself. Seacoast Rep to Stage OLIVER! This Holiday Season

The Seacoast Repertory Theatre is departing from convention this holiday season. Like many theater companies it will be staging a work by Charles Dickens. But instead of the time-honored A Christmas Carol, it will be giving the holidays an Oliver! twist.

Sammy Davis Jr. and Dickens Shows to Play in Rep for the Holidays at Performance Network

The start of the holiday season is here, and with it comes Performance Network Theatre's tandem productions that run in repertory November through December. Beginning the festivities is the Michigan premiere of WHY NOT ME? A SAMMY DAVIS JR. STORY written by Tim Rhoze running November 24­ - December 19, 2015. Continuing the season is the world premiere of DICKENS: AN A CAPELLA CAROL by Charles Dickens running November 27­ - December 20, 2015.

Quest Theatre Ensemble's A CHRISTMAS CAROL Opens 11/21

Quest Theatre Ensemble will bring its visual artistry and immersive theatricality to the Alan Menken-Lynn Ahrens musical version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This version with music by Menken, the multiple Oscar winning composer of Disney musicals Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Newsies; and lyrics by the Tony award-winning lyricist of Ragtime, Seussical and Once on this Island, was a hit for ten consecutive seasons at New York's Madison Square Garden and was later filmed by television in a production starring Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge. Quest's production will be directed by Quest Ensemble Director Andrew Park. A Christmas Carol will run from November 20 - December 20, 2015.

Theater at Monmouth to Present EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD

This holiday season, Theater at Monmouth starts a new comic tradition at Cumston Hall. Every Christmas Story Ever Told…(and then some!) is a fast, furious, and slightly irreverent look at holiday classics and traditions. The play begins as yet another version of A Christmas Carol and takes "a wrong turn in Albuquerque" on the way to a B.H.C. (Beloved Holiday Classic) Smackdown between A Christmas Carol and It's a Wonderful Life. Santy Claus, Rudolph (or in this case Gustav), the Grinch, and just about every other seasonal character makes an appearance in this racy comedy that, according to Kelly Monaghan of TheOtherOrlando, "will have you laughing harder than spiked eggnog."
