From rural South Africa to operatic stardom, soprano Pretty Yende continues her meteoric rise through the world of opera with the release of her second album, Dreams, on Sony Classical, available October 27, 2017.

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County and Segerstrom Center for the Arts will co-present Tod Browning's 1931 film classic DRACULA starring Bela Lugosi with original music by Philip Glass performed live by the legendary composer at the piano, the Grammy Award-winning Kronos Quartet, with Michael Riesman directing from the keyboard.

The Dallas Opera is delighted to announce the winner of the 2017 "Maria Callas Debut Artist of the Year" Award: luminous Italian-American soprano Marina Costa-Jackson.

German soprano Anne Schwanewilms will make a much-anticipated New York recital debut, accompanied by pianist Malcolm Martineau, on Sunday, April 16 at 5:00 pm at Alice Tully Hall. She performs works by Richard Strauss and selections from Hugo Wolf's Morike-Lieder as part of Lincoln Center's Great Performers "Art of the Song" series.

The Dallas Opera is thrilled to present—for the first time on our stage—Vincenzo Bellini's suspense-filled masterpiece of the bel canto repertoire, NORMA, starring the phenomenal South African-born soprano Elza van den Heever in the title role of a Druid priestess wronged by the man she loves.

The Josephine S. Leiser Center and Steinway Piano Gallery present the final SongFest South Florida program of the 2016-17 Season. Titled 'A Night at Court,' this recital features three members of Florida Grand Opera's Young Artist Program performing songs by celebrated court composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Josef Haydn, Joseph Martin Kraus, and Carl Michael Bellman.

Salon/Sanctuary Concerts is honored to partner with Carnegie Hall's La Serenissima Festival, the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center, and NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo in presenting the third annual New York performance of From Ghetto to Cappella, conceived to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the creation of the Venetian Ghetto. This will take place at The Chapel of Emanu-el, Today, February 16.

Houston Grand Opera expands its commitment to broadening the audience for opera with a 2017-18 season that includes the first presentations of Leonard Bernstein's classic musical West Side Story by a major American opera house and the world premiere of composer Ricky Ian Gordon and librettist Royce Vavrek's holiday opera The House without a Christmas Tree. HGO will present its first performances in a quarter century of two iconic works: Richard Strauss's revenge-filled Elektra with virtuoso sopranoChristine Goerke in the tempestuous title role and 2016 Richard Tucker Award-winner and HGO Studio alumna Tamara Wilson in her role debut as Chrysothemis, under the baton of HGO Artistic and Music Director Patrick Summers; and Bellini's grand-scale tragedy Norma showcasing the debut of stellar dramatic soprano Liudmyla Monastyrska in the notoriously difficult title role, with 2015 Tucker winner and HGO Studio alumna Jamie Barton as Adalgisa.
