Audemars Piguet Celebrates The Tony Awards

The 65th Annual Tony Awards were held last night and for the third consecutive year Audemars Piguet was proud to act as the presenting sponsor of the Tony Awards Red Carpet. The company further reinforced its commitment to Broadway's biggest night with an additional sponsorship of the backstage Green Room and Gifting Suite as well as hosting an innovative online charity clock auction to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Cortland Repertory Theatre will serve up plenty of 'razzle dazzle' in the second show of their 40th Anniversary 'Ruby Jubilee' season as they present the notoriously sassy and jazzy musical 'Chicago', with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book written by Ebb and Bob Fosse, based on the play of the same name by Maurine Dallas Watkins.

As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the rehearsal run with special guest performers Paul Shaffer (who wrote the tune) and Martha Wash (the song's original songstress). The movie musical stars Julianne Hough ('Burlesque'), with actor/singer Diego Boneta in his feature film debut, Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti ('Cinderella Man'), Russell Brand ('Arthur,' 'Get Him to the Greek'), R&B queen Mary J. Blige, Malin Akerman ('The Proposal'), multiple Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (TV's 'Breaking Bad,' 'The Lincoln Lawyer') and Academy Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones ('Chicago'), with Oscar nominees Alec Baldwin ('The Cooler') and Tom Cruise ('Born on the Fourth of July').
