The upcoming film adapation of Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit's 'Nine' is now available for pre-order and will be released on December 22nd. The soundtrack, to be released by Geffen Records, will include the full score with the addition of three new songs written specifically for the film, entitled 'Guarda la Luna', 'Cinema Italiano' and 'Take It All'.

The first trade ads for NINE's Academy Awards Campaign have been released. One ad promotes the consideration of Michael Tolkin and Anthony Minghella for Best Adapted Screenplay, while the other promotes the film's leading man Daniel Day-Lewis to be considered in all categories, including Best Actor.

As per WENN news, Daniel Day-Lewis called his upcoming film NINE THE MUSICAL a tribute to his late mother, actress Jill Balcon, who passed away in July at the age of 84. Day-Lewis revealed that his mother was very excited to learn that Sophia Loren had been cast as his mother in the film, as she was a fan of hers.
