Maury Yeston and Meryl Streep are among the 2009 Broadcast Film Critics Association's Critics Choice Nominees. Winners will be revealed at the 15th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony on January 15, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium, broadcast live on VH1 Television Network.

As previously announced, on Monday, February 8, 2010, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bernadette Peters, Christine Ebersole, Audra McDonald, Victor Garber, Chita Rivera, Donna Murphy, Cheyenne Jackson and many more will take part in The Drama League's 26th annual all-star gala, 'A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF BROADWAY.'

The Drama League is pleased to announce that Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bernadette Peters, Christine Ebersole, Audra McDonald, Victor Garber, Chita Rivera, Donna Murphy and Cheyenne Jackson are among the roster of performers slated to appear in its annual all-star benefit gala, 'A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF BROADWAY.'

Tommy Tune, in an interview with Variety, praised film director Rob Marshall for his delivery in the movie musical NINE. Tune directed the original Broadway installment of NINE, which had a successful run from 1982 - 1984 at the 46th Street Theatre.

Composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who penned the score and lyrics for several critically acclaimed Broadway musicals including SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre, is the focus of a new interview on the theatre related podcast Downstage Center. The interview originally aired January 3rd and is currently available for download.

PS Classics and Nonesuch will partner is set to release the new Broadway cast album of Stephen Sondheim's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. The cast, led by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, will head into the studio January 4. No release date for the disc has been announced.

Yahoo News is reporting that New York City Landmark and former home to many a Broadway Opening night party is closing its doors after 75 years. According to the report, whereas the Central Park restaurant was just three years ago the second highest grossing restaurant in the United States, taking in approximately $38 million annually by serving more than 700,000 meals, the venue has been unable to get out of bankruptcy court of late (Chapter 11 was filed in September of this year).

The soundtrack, to be released by Geffen Records, will include the full score with the addition of three new songs written specifically for the film, entitled 'Guarda la Luna', 'Cinema Italiano' and 'Take It All'.
