The 2014 BWW:UK Award winners will be announced on Thursday - so we thought it's about time we looked back at the previous years!

Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, co-organizers of Times Square New Year's Eve, announced today that Disney's Aladdin, the new, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, will partner with the acclaimed New Year's Eve celebration to welcome 2015. As the official sponsor of the evening's annual confetti wishes tradition Aladdin stars, Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), and Courtney Reed (Jasmine) will take part in the Ball Drop celebration, and events leading up to the big night.

According to The New York Times, songwriting team Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen are the recipients of the 2014 Fred Ebb Award for musical theater writing.

Disney is currently in talks with executives of the London Palladium theatre to bring the Broadway musical to the West End in early 2016.

Nashville has been blessed this week with the national touring production of The Book of Mormon. Since storming onto Broadway in 2011 and walking away with eleven Tony awards that season, The Book of Mormon has crossed from being a Broadway phenomenon to becoming a pop culture staple. If you ask anyone, chances are pretty good that they've at least heard of The Book of Mormon musical.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the national tour, which begins December 2 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and plays a limited 2 week engagement through December 14. Adam Jacobs welcomed twin boys, Jack and Alex, earlier this year, on the morning of the company's first rehearsal for the Broadway production of ALADDIN.
