Theatre for a New Audience and Baryshnikov Arts Center Present Fragments

Following acclaimed performances internationally, Theatre for a New Audience, in association with Baryshnikov Arts Center, will present the New York premiere of C.I.C.T. / Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord's Fragments from the texts by Samuel Beckett for only 29 performances at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 West 37th Street.

Court Theatre Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert present the regional premiere of An Iliad, adapted from Fagles' translation of Homer's Iliad by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell.

Patti LuPone and Laurie Metcalf to Lead David Mamet's THE ANARCHIST on Broadway; Opening Set for Fall 2012

Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel announced that the American premiere of THE ANARCHIST, the new play about politics, money, religion and sex, written and directed by DAVID MAMET. The production will star two-time Tony Award winner PATTI LUPONE, who has previously appeared in Mamet's The Woods, All Men are Whores, The Blue Hour, The Water Engine, Edmond and The Old Neighborhood and three-time Emmy Award winner LAURIE METCALF, who was nominated for a 2008 Tony Award for her performance in Mamet's November. THE ANARCHIST, which marks the sixth collaboration between Richards, Frankel and Mamet, will open on Broadway in Fall 2012.

FANTA ORANGE Opens at Finborough Theatre, 11/1

The world premiere of Sally Woodcock's new play Fanta Orange opens at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre from Tuesday, 1 November 2011 (Press Night: Thursday, 3 November 2011 at 7.30pm) for a limited four-week season, the opening play in the New Writing at the Finborough Theatre Season, playing November 2011 to January 2012.

Tony Kushner to Host SONGS FOR FREEDOM at Joe's Pub, 10/30

Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, and Friends of the Jenin Freedom Theatre announced today an evening of song, video and performance on October 30th, 2011 at 7:00pm to benefit the Freedom Theatre. Tickets are $100 and the event is hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winner Tony Kushner and featuring Academy Award-winner David Byrne, Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks, Grammy-winners Aimee Mann and Angelique Kidjo, Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald, Palestinian hip-hop group DAM, as well as a special performance by the acting company of The Freedom Theatre. The entire evening is directed by Jo Bonney.

Two emerging female directors and University of the Arts alumni will lead a new generation of undergrads in October productions produced by the Ira Brind School of Theater Arts. Award-winning director Jackson Gay will direct Caryl Churchill's Top Girls (Oct. 6 - 9). Megan Nicole O'Brien, a Barrymore nominated director and co-founder of Philadelphia's 11th Hour Theatre Company, will direct the Philadelphia premiere of the musical High Fidelity (Oct. 14 - 16 & 20 - 22).
