From September 9-16, thousands of fashion industry professionals including retailers, editors and fashionistas will gather here in New York to see more than 90 of the world's most established and up-and-coming designers as they present their collections for Spring 2011.

Yesterday, June 16, models walked the runway showcasing fashion designer Carolina Herrera's spring 2010 collection in Panama City. Carolina Herrera is in Panama on invitation by Panamanian first lady Marta Linares de Martinelli. The event was held to raise funds for Panama's oncology hospital. Producer John Breglio and the Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. are presenting the premiere engagement of Dreamgirls at the Apollo Theater, prior to the national tour of the groundbreaking musical. On Monday, October 26, 2009, Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director), a leading not-for-profit professional theatre will honor Kathleen Chalfant, Mike Moynihan and Patricia Velasquez with the Lee Salk 'Goodworks' Award at its annual awards dinner and gala. The event begins at 6pm at The Pierre in midtown Manhattan, with cocktails and silent auction followed by dinner, awards, and live entertainment.
