BWW Interviews: EVERYDAY RAPTURE's Sherie Rene Scott

Sherie Rene Scott has starred in some of the biggest shows on Broadway - she's played Amneris in Aida, Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Marty in Grease, Maureen in Rent and Ursula in The Little Mermaid. Currently, Scott is starring in Everyday Rapture, which she has co-written with Dick Scanlan. Everyday Rapture opened on April 29th, and is set to close on July 11th. The production also had an off-Broadway run at the Second Stage Theatre in 2009. BroadwayWorld Reporter Nick Orlando spoke with Scott about the transfer from off-Broadway to Broadway, and character Sherie versus real-life Sherie.

BWW Reviews: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Seattle’s Paramount

Seattle's Paramount Theatre is currently presenting the tour of the Tony winning classic "Fiddler on the Roof" starring the unstoppable force of nature that is Harvey Fierstein. And while this show has never been one that I could get into, the cast infused it with enough heart and humor that even a non-fan like me had an enjoyable evening.

THE BILBAO EFFECT, a world-premiere play that puts contemporary architecture on trial, written by Oren Safdie (whose previous play about architecture, PRIVATE JOKES, PUBLIC PLACES, was a hit Off-Broadway in 2003) will be presented Off-Broadway with an official press opening night on May 16, 2010 at Center for Architecture (536 LaGuardia Place) in Manhattan. THE BILBAO EFFECT will run Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM through June 5.
