ACT Presents 'Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World,' 6/17-7/17

ACT is honored to produce the World Premiere of Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World by award-winning local playwright Yussef El Guindi. Full of unabashed sweetness and goofy charm, this sexy, 'very now' new work reminds us that we are all 'immigrants' with far more connecting than separating us.

BWW Reviews: ALL MY SONS at the Intiman

Seattle's Intiman Theatre is currently presenting Arthur Miller's post war tragedy, "All My Sons" with a bit of non-traditional casting. And while the casting didn't detract from the story, I didn't feel it lent anything to it either. But my biggest qualm was not with the casting but with the lack of connection happening on stage.

Intiman Theatre Presents ALL MY SONS, 3/18-4/17

Intiman Theatre opens its 2011 Season with All My Sons, written by Arthur Miller and directed by Seattle theatre artist Valerie Curtis-Newton, featuring an ensemble of 10 actors led by veteran performers Chuck Cooper and Margo Moorer. Performances begin Friday, March 18 and continue through Sunday, April 17. Tickets are on sale now to season subscribers and are available to the general public beginning February 7. Purchases can be made at www.intiman.org or 206.269.1900. In Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning family drama, the issues that surface are just as compelling today as when the play debuted in 1947. Artistic Director Kate Whoriskey says, 'All My Sons is one of the most beautifully structured plays in the American canon. Miller slowly reveals to the audience how a man of some means and ethics can make a devastating choice that forever alters a community.'

TWELFTH NIGHT from The Seattle Shakespeare Company

The Seattle Shakespeare Company is currently presenting the often performed "Twelfth Night" by, of course, William Shakespeare. The show itself suffers from the curse of being done all too often so unless it's done incredibly well or with some new and interesting angle, it comes across as just OK. Unfortunately the latter is more the case here.

Seattle Shakespeare Company Presents TWELFTH NIGHT 12/4-27

This December, Shakespeare's only holiday-themed play, Twelfth Night sweeps onto the stage featuring traditional music and caroling, jokes and laughter, and some smooching under the mistletoe. Artistic Director Stephanie Shine stages this beguiling comedy of romantic misadventures which opens on Friday, December 4 at the Center House Theatre and will run through December 27.

Photo Flash: DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE Hits ArtsWest 9/9 ?10/3

ArtsWest starts the 2009-10 season with Dead Man's Cell Phone, a wildly imaginative new work from Sarah Ruhl, the playwright behind The Clean House and Eurydice. When Jean answers the cell phone of the corpse at the next table, she unwittingly embarks on a quirky odyssey that takes her from grief to the black market to the afterlife. With unfailing empathy, she sets the dead man's bizarre life to rights and on the way resurrects her own. ArtsWest favorite Carol Roscoe returns to direct this Seattle premiere.
