Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Vivienne Benesch and Managing Director Sarah Clare Corporandy, announced casting for their Mainstage 2015 Season, which includes blending Chautauqua Theater Company alumni with those making their company debuts. Principal actors are Andrew Borba, Carol Halstead, Tangela Large, Manu Narayan, Michael Potts, Shelia Tousey, and Kathryn Hunter Williams. The season features Our Town (July 3-12), Intimate Apparel (July 24-August 2), and Henry V (August 14-21), all performed at the Bratton Theater at Chautauqua Institution.

Dorset Theatre Festival will present The Mousetrap, Dame Agatha Christie's masterpiece of mayhem and mystery, from August 14th through the 30th at the Dorset Playhouse. The Mousetrap, in addition to being one of Christie's most famous works, has the distinction of being the world's longest continually running play. The original production, at London's Ambassador Hotel, has been running continuously since 1952!

The play will start its run at Dorset tonight, August 15th, and run through the 31st before moving on to Barrington in September.

The play will start its run at Dorset on August 15th, and run through the 31st before moving on to Barrington in September. Clybourne Park, a Tony award and Pulitzer Prize winning play which opened to great acclaim on Broadway last year, was written in response to Lorraine Hansberry's play A Raisin in the Sun, and portrays events which take place both before and after the events of the Hansberry play, as the residents of a Chicago neighborhood in transition are forced to confront their racial prejudices.

A host of Broadway talent as well as several film and television stars will be appearing on the Dorset Theatre Festival stage this summer. Tim Daly, well known for his work on Wings (NBC) and Private Practice (ABC) will headline in the first production of the season, Theresa Rebeck's The Scene. Joining him will be Geoffrey Arend (ABC's Body of Proof) and well-known NY stage actress Mary Bacon (most recently seen in the Michael John LaChiusa/Sybille Pearson musical Giant as well as on Bway in Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll). They will be joined by newcomer Carolyn Holding (The Philadelphia Story/Chautauqua). Adrienne Campbell-Holt will direct the production.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre and Director Kyle Fabel collaborate with John Kolvenbach for the world premiere of his backstage comedy about life and love in a repertory theatre. When the backstage shenanigans of the protagonist spill through the dressing room door into a scene playing live onstage, all hell breaks loose. The cast is a cohesive ensemble, timing their many entrances and exits perfectly, and maintaining straight faces throughout the farcical goings on.
