Jazz Forum Arts (JFA), the top presenter of jazz artists in Westchester County announces the winners of its 1st Annual Vocal Jazz Competition. Held on Saturday, May 5th at Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers, JFA's 1st Annual Vocal Jazz Competition auditioned numerous acts for the opportunity to showcase their artistry during JFA's 2012 13th Annual Summer Concert Series.
Books for Kids Kicks Off Children's Book Week with Scholastic's READ EVERY DAY, 5/6

Shawna Hamilton Doster, Executive Director, Books for Kids, will host a lively family event with a stellar line-up of entertainers, authors and hands-on activities to raise funds and awareness for the national non-profit Books for Kids, which creates libraries and literacy programs for at-risk pre-school children in low-income neighborhoods. The event is being held at the world headquarters of Scholastic Inc., Scholastic Soho, the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books and a leader in educational technology and services and children's media, on May 6, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m., and kicks off Children's Book Week.
WONDERLAND to Play Japan's Aoyama Theatre This Fall

Frank Wildhorn's WONDERLAND, which opened on Broadway last Spring, will make its international premiere at Tokyo's Aoyama Theatre in Fall 2012. Set to star in the production are Kei Aran and Megumi Hamada. Hiromi Suzuki will direct.

The Starlight Children's Foundation NY*NJ*CT will honor Howard Lutnick, Chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners, Inc. on March 8, 2012 at the Marriot Marquis Hotel in New York City. He is being honored for his support of Starlight and his dedication to improve the quality of life of hospitalized children. Starlight serves thousands of children who suffer from a wide range of critical, chronic, and life-threatening diseases and disabilities.

Vocal selection are now available for Frank Wildhorn's WONDERLAND, which opened on Broadway last Spring. The book features 19 piano/vocal selections from the score including: 'Advice from a Caterpillar,' 'Down the Rabbit Hole,' 'Finding Wonderland,' 'Go with the Flow,' 'Home,' 'I Am My Own Invention,' 'The Mad Hatter,' 'Off with Their Heads,' 'Through the Looking Glass,' and 'Welcome to Wonderland,' along with a special section of full-color production photos.
