Kevin Bacon will join Steve Carell in an untitled Dan Fogelman-Steve Carell project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will direct the movie for Warner Bros. Filming will begin in late April.

Jeunesses Musicales Ontario is pleased to present two of its star alumni: world-renowned violinist James Ehnes and award-winning pianist, Jamie Parker, in an intimate one-hour recital hosted by the popular broadcaster, and arts journalist Eric Friesen. While they have performed chamber music together before, this is their first appearance as a duo. The repertoire for this programme features Beethoven's Romance in G, Op. 40; Bach's Partita No. 3 for solo violin; and Schumann's Sonata in A Op. 105. This benefit supports Jeunesses Musicales Ontario, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. The event includes a cocktail reception in Glenn Gould Studio's foyer at 7 PM, with the concert to follow. Tickets are $75. Boston's Huntington Theatre Company was recently profiled in the New York Times, where they said they wanted to strengthen their already solid relationship with new playwrights. Boston's largest theatre company already offers fellowships to playwrights and allows them opportunities for readings and feedback from audiences, but Artistic Director Peter DuBois said he wants to encourage new writers even more.

LOMBARDI, a new play by Oscar winner and Steppenwolf Theater Company member Eric Simonson, is based on the best-selling biography When Pride Still Mattered, by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Maraniss. Opening on Broadway in the fall of 2010, this original work will bring the audience into the life and times of one of America's most inspirational and mercurial personalities, Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi.
