Legendary lutenist Hopkinson Smith, will perform Dowland's Europe: The Winds of Change. Celebrating the 450th anniversary of his birth, the performance will take place on Thursday, 7 November 2013 at the Renaissance Library of the Fabbri Mansion located on 7 East 95th Street. The Library, built during the Renaissance as part of the Ducal Palace of Urbino in Italy, was brought to New York during WWI.

Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo announced today that Bronx Bombers, a new American play written and directed by Eric Simonson, will begin performances on Broadway starting January 10, 2014 at Circle in the Square Theater (235 West 50th Street). Independent Spirit Award winning producer Susan Johnson of BRAVEART FILMS will make her feature directorial debut backed by veteran producers Suzanne Farwell and Susan Cartsonis with an adaptation of critically acclaimed novel Carrie Pilby by Caren Lissner. The Dallas Opera has announced that Broadway legend and Drama Desk and Tony Award-winning director, producer, playwright, and lyricist Jack O'Brien has been engaged to direct the company's world premiere production of GREAT SCOTT, a new, full-length opera by acclaimed American composer Jake Heggie (Moby-Dick) and the Tony Award-winning playwright/librettist Terrence McNally (Master Class) in their first joint opera since their groundbreaking masterpiece, Dead Man Walking.
