Photo Coverage: Meet the Company of Primary Stages' LIVES OF THE SAINTS

Primary Stages continues its 30th anniversary season with Lives of the Saints, a world premiere collection of delightfully funny and unforgettable short plays by David Ives (All in the Timing, Venus in Fur) and directed by Tony Award winner John Rando (All in the Timing, On The Town, Urinetown). The limited engagement runs February 3 - March 27, 2015 atPrimary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project. Opening night is Tuesday, February 24 at 7PM. The Playwrights Realm has announced casting for the world premiere of City Of by Anton Dudley, directed by Stephen Brackett (Buyer & Cellar). The production runs January 27th through February 21st, 2015 with a February 5th opening at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC).

Joe Kinosian and Ian Lowe to Star in The Old Globe's MURDER FOR TWO; Cast & Creative Team Set!

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for Murder for Two, with book and music by Joe Kinosian and book and lyrics by Kellen Blair. Globe veteran Scott Schwartz (A Room with a View at the Globe, The Hunchback of Notre Dame at La Jolla Playhouse) returns to direct Blair and Kinosian's Off Broadway hit, a vaudevillian mystery musical with an energetic two-man cast. Murder for Two will run January 24 - March 1 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

National Theatre Live Unveils OF MICE AND MEN Broadcast App

To accompany Of Mice And Men's international screening tomorrow, November 6, National Theatre Live has developed a digital program for iPad, with a version for iPhone to follow shortly. Audiences will be able to go behind the scenes with interviews, short-films, production photographs, a timeline of the great depression, an exclusive article by James Franco as well as video interviews with cast and director. The app is available internationally beginning Thursday, November 6 for $6.99.

The critically-acclaimed Broadway revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, starring Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner James Franco, BAFTA and Tony Award nominee Chris O'Dowd, Leighton Meester and Tony and Olivier Award winner Jim Norton, filmed at Broadway's Longacre Theatre in front of a live audience by National Theatre Live, will be screened in over 700 cinema venues across the United States and Canada on Thursday, November 6, 2014, and varying dates. Broadway legend Chita Rivera makes her Williamstown Theatre Festival debut opposite Festival favorite and former Artistic Director Roger Rees in the newest incarnation of Kander and Ebb's THE VISIT, the musical based on the 1956 tragicomedy by Swiss playwright Friedrich Durrenmatt, with book by Terrence McNally. Director John Doyle has reimagined it as a one-act with a focus on the love story, and his collaboration with Choreographer Graciela Daniele results in a show that makes movement a vital component to convey elements of the narrative without words.

David Binder has just announced an international broadcast of the critically-acclaimed, smash-hit revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men will be the first Broadway show filmed by National Theatre Live. Starring Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner James Franco, BAFTA and Tony Award nominee Chris O'Dowd, Leighton Meester and Tony and Olivier Award winner Jim Norton, and directed by Tony Award winner Anna D.
