TAP CITY NYC Tap Festival Returns July 7-13

The American Tap Dance Foundation's TAP CITY, THE NEW YORK CITY TAP FESTIVAL will return for its 18th year from Saturday, July 7 through Friday, July 13 with local and international tap dance artists, master classes, a tap dance boat tour around Manhattan,Tap Dance Awards, Rhythm in Motion Concert Performance and "Tap it Out," a free outdoor tap dance event in the middle of Times Square. *Lineup below.

Annenberg Center Live And NextMove Dance Announce Co-Presenting Partnership

Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance have announced a new co-presenting partnership that will consolidate contemporary dance productions under one roof at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. In the 2018-19 season, Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance will present 11 dance ensembles for Philadelphia audiences: Circa, Spectrum Dance Theater, Jessica Lang Dance, Caleb Teicher & Company, Martha Graham Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Dance Heginbotham, Union Tanguera + Kate Weare Company, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, BODYTRAFFIC, and Parsons Dance. Am Tap Dance Foundation's RHYTHM IN MOTION Lineup Announced

RHYTHM IN MOTION, the American Tap Dance Foundation's (ATDF) yearly performance showcase, will return to New York City on Wednesday July 11 at Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street at 8pm.

Chicago Human Rhythm Project Presents The 28th Annual RHYTHM WORLD

Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), presents the 28th annual summer festival of American tap and percussive dance, Rhythm World, featuring three generations of foot drummers including tap masters Dianne 'Lady Di' Walker and Sam Weber, STOMP cast members, many of Chicago's finest including, Star Dixon and Martin 'Tre' Dumas, and CHRP's Artist in Residence, Dani Borak leading Stone Soup Rhythms. Intensive educational programs will be offered in the Fine Arts Building and the American Rhythm Center, July 16-22. Performances take place July16-18, at the Jazz Showcase, Curtis Hall and the Polk Bros Performance Lawns at Navy Pier, with culminating concerts, JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance, on July 20 and 21, at the Studebaker Theater featuring a host of virtuoso soloists and ensembles showcasing a mix of audience favorites and world premieres.

Fire Island Dance Festival Returns to Fire Island Pines

Fire Island Dance Festival returns July 20-22, 2018, bringing world-class dance, breathtaking views and unparalleled culture to Fire Island Pines. The annual festival of celebrated and diverse companies and choreographers is produced by and benefits Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Fire Island Dance Festival (#fidance) will once again grace a stunning waterfront stage, set on the shores of the Great South Bay. The National YoungArts Foundation Launches Regional Programs in LA, NYC, and Miami

National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) President and CEO Carolina Garc a Jayaram announces details for the organization's 2018 regional programs in Miami, Los Angeles and New York. Spanning the country, YoungArts regional programs are modeled after National YoungArts Week, the organization's signature program held annually in Miami. This year, 757 YoungArts winners extraordinarily talented aspiring artists ages 15 18 or grades 10 12 from 47 states will have the opportunity to participate in classes led by master teachers such as Inna Faliks (1996 Winner in Classical Music), Marina Lomazov, Roger Bonair-Agard, Patricia Engel, Kimberly Browning, and more. Winners will participate in interdisciplinary workshops, professional development seminars and present their work to the public through performances, exhibitions and readings at world-class arts institutions in each city.

The Joyce Theater presents Third Annual American Dance Platform

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. The Chase Brock Experience Begins Performance Of 10th Anniversary Season Tonight

The Chase Brock Experience, the Brooklyn-based contemporary dance company now celebrating its 10th season, is excited to begin performances for their two-week engagement, tonight, Monday, November 27. Josh Prince's Broadway Dance Lab Launches Today

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a choreographic incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that Brook Wendle (Paramour, Gossip Girl), Caleb Teicher (Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch ), Abdul Latif (Lincoln Center Institute artist-in-residence), and Katie Rose McLaughlin (Designated Movement Company), will join artistic director Josh Prince as choreographers for the company's Fall 2017 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Oct. 30, and will run through Dec. 15.

Fire Island Dance Festival Brings Weekend of Unforgettable Dance to the Pines

The 23rd edition of the fundraising and cultural event of the Fire Island summer raised a record $585,045 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
