Photo Flash: First Look at Midwest Premiere of C.S. LEWIS ONSTAGE, Opening at Chicago's Mercury Theater

After a seven-year absence, Fellowship for Performing Arts makes its triumphant return to Chicago with an all-new original production, starting next Friday, July 22. Equity Jeff Award winner Max McLean (Mark's Gospel, The Screwtape Letters) stars in the one-man/one-act show C.S. Lewis Onstage: The Most Reluctant Convert, July 22-August 14 at Chicago's Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Ave. Tickets, $55-$59, are on sale now at CSLewisOnstage.com. "$30 under 30" tickets will be available to audience members age 30 and younger, subject to availability. Press performances are Sunday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 26.

Paper Mill to Offer Free Summer Children's Book Reading Series

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced a new, free Summer Children's Book Reading Series in the lobby of the Millburn theater on select Saturdays at noon in July and August.  Each week the theater will present a different book (full schedule below).

Adventure Theatre MTC Sets 2016-17 Season

Adventure Theatre MTC, the 2015 recipient of the TYA/USA Harold Oaks Award for significant contributions to the Theatre for Young Audiences field, is proud to announce its 65th Anniversary Season featuring five main stage productions with one world premiere musical. Additionally, 2016 marks the celebration of 10 years of Michael J. Bobbitt's leadership for Adventure Theatre MTC. This stand-out anniversary season offers a series of diverse family favorites brought to life for young audiences by award-winning directors and artists in the DC area and across the country.

BWW Review: SHADOWLANDS, Birmingham Rep, May 31 2016

The Birmingham Repertory Theatre is transported back to Oxford in the 1950s for Birdsong Productions' new adaptation of Shadowlands. Written by William Nicholson, Shadowlands is based on the unlikely romance between C.S. Lewis and Joy Gresham, and follows their first meeting, developing relationship and the untimely end of their marriage.

C. S. Lewis Play SHADOWLANDS Comes To Exeter Northcott Theatre

The critically acclaimed production of William Nicholson's moving play, SHADOWLANDS, comes to Exeter Northcott Theatre from Tues 28 June to Sat 2 July. Starring Stephen Boxer (Humans, The Iron Lady, Doctors) as C.S. Lewis, Amanda Ryan (The Forsyte Saga) and Dennis Lill (Only Fools and Horses and The Royal), this West End and Broadway hit is the love story of C.S. Lewis - Oxford don and author of The Chronicles of Narnia and The Screwtape Letters - and American poet Joy Davidman.

Mark Gatiss, Anne Archer, JB Priestley and Two Musicals in New Park Theatre Season

Details have been announced today for Park Theatre's Autumn-Winter 2016 Season. Centenary Stage Company and 10 Hairy Legs, all-male Dance Company, brings to life the magic of C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe today, April 2 at 2pm. Treat the young and young at heart to the classic story, set in the fictitious Narnia, featuring all of the familiar characters - the heroines and heroes, Lucy, Susan, Edmund, and Peter as well as The White Witch, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, and the Great Aslan. Follow them through a landscape forever stuck in an unthawing winter to see if they can break the evil spell cast by The White Witch.
