Lola Astanova and Jahja Ling Headline at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Jan 23

Classical pianist virtuoso, Lola Astanova, will bring her unique style, emotional depth and dramatic stage presence back to the Big Apple for a night of symphonic enchantment presented by event partner, luxury Swiss watch manufacturer, Ulysse Nardin, on Wednesday, January 23 at 7:30pm. Accompanied by the Orchestra of St. Luke's, New York's greatest American Orchestra, Astanova will perform Tchaikowsky: Piano Concerto #1 and Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto #2. She is the only pianist virtuoso, since Van Cliburn, to play these two piano concertos consecutively in 15 years-making this one of her most anticipated performances.

PBS to Produce Documentary on Architect Eero Saarinen

A documentary on the life and work of Eero Saarinen, considered one of the masters of American 20th Century architecture, will be produced for PBS and international distribution thanks to a $350,000 matching grant from Michigan entrepreneur A. Alfred Taubman.

Music For All Seasons Features James Galway, 3/3

Renowned flutist Sir James Galway will share his insights, experiences, and fascinating life story in a rare interview with Nancy Shear, as part of Music For All Seasons' popular and acclaimed 'Conversations' series, now in its fifth season. The event will launch the 2011 series, and will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., at The William Bennett Gallery, 65 Greene Street (between Broome & Spring Streets) in SoHo, New York City. This season will also include Conversations with the entire Juilliard String Quartet in the Spring and with distinguished pianist Byron Janis in the Fall of 2011.
