Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to 'Rave On!' with its debut production of the international musical sensation 'BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story'. Performances of this hit rock and roll musical will run from June 19 - July 6 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on June 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and July 2 at 2:00 PM. 'Piece Of Meat' is an exhilarating evening about human desires - carnal, culinary and otherwise. Ms. Scott explores her singular storytelling and musical abilities with songs by Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, Talking Heads, Pete Townshend, Annie Lennox, Dire Straits, Buddy Holly, Kate Bush and Noah & The Whale, along with original compositions by music directorTodd Almond. For the fifth year, the Ogunquit Playhouse is joining the fight to eradicate polio worldwide by hosting Rotary Night at the theatre. The Ogunquit Playhouse will donate a portion of every ticket purchased to Thoroughly Modern Millie for the Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 8:00 p.m. performance to the York Rotary Club. The Playhouse seeks to raise $5,000 to support Rotary International's goal of eliminating worldwide polio.
BUDDY, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, rocks its way to Saint Paul's Ordway Music Theater June 11 - 16, 2013, starring a pair of high-energy actors taking turns on covering the title character of this national touring company's production. Kurt Jenkins and Andy Christopher each play Buddy Holly and opposite performances the other portrays Tommy Allsup.
