Photo Flash: Michael Learned and More in Delaware Theatre's THE OUTGOING TIDE at 59E59 Theaters

The Delaware Theatre Company presents The Outgoing Tide (www.OutgoingTidePlay.com) a new American play by Bruce Graham (nominee of two Drama Desk Awards and The Rosenthal Prize for Coyote on a Fence at Urban Stages, Something Intangible, Any Given Monday) and directed by Bud Martin (Any Given Monday, Respect). The Outgoing Tide begins performances on November 7th and plays a limited engagement through December 16th at 59E59 Theaters, Theater A. Opening night is set for November 20th. Michael Learned to Lead Delaware Theatre Company's THE OUTGOING TIDE

The Delaware Theatre Company announced today that Michael Learned, of the 'The Waltons,' will be starring in DTC's October production of The Outgoing Tide. A drama by Barrymore Award-winning playwright Bruce Graham, The Outgoing Tide runs at the Delaware Theatre Company Wednesday, October 10 through Sunday, October 28, 2012 and marks the first show of DTC's 2012-2013 season. Directed by Executive Director Bud Martin, the production will then move to 59E59 Theaters in New York for six weeks: November 8 through December 16, following its three week run in Wilmington, Delaware.

Delaware Theatre Company Presents SOUTH PACIFIC, 4/10-5/5, 2013

Delaware Theatre Company has announced a change in its line-up for the 2012-2013 season. Just yesterday the theatre announced a partnership with members of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra for a Spring 2013 production of SOUTH PACIFIC. Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical will replace MY FAIR LADY as the conclusion to its 12-13 season, and will run from April 10-May 5, 2013.

Stephen Schwartz's WORKING and More Set for 59E59 Theaters' 2012 Fall Season

59E59 Theaters has announced the roster of shows for the Fall 2012 Season, including the New York premiere revival of Stephen Schwartz' WORKING, beginning Dec. 1, 2012. This is the newly revised, critically acclaimed version of WORKING that recently had a successful run at the Broadway Playhouse in Chicago, after premiering at the Asolo in Sarasota and Old Globe in San Diego.

The Active Theater Presents BODY LANGUAGE, Now thru 6/10

The Active Theater (Nathaniel Shaw, Artistic Director), now in its fourth year, presents its final production for the 2011-2012 season, the world premiere of Jennie Contuzzi's BODY LANGUAGE. Directed by Nathaniel Shaw, the play opens tonight, Thursday, May 31st at The Workshop Theater (312 W. 36th Street). BODY LANGUAGE runs through June 10th.

The Active Theater Presents BODY LANGUAGE, 5/31 - 6/10

The Active Theater (Nathaniel Shaw, Artistic Director), now in its fourth year, announces its final production for the 2011-2012 season, the world premiere of Jennie Contuzzi's BODY LANGUAGE. Bud Martin Appointed Executive Director of the Delaware Theatre Company

Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael Marquardt announced today that Bud Martin has been appointed Executive Director of the Delaware Theatre Company (DTC). "We're extremely excited about Bud joining the organization and look forward to working with him and the staff on an exciting 34th season. Bud has an impressive track record in both artistic and business leadership and has deep connections in the theatre community throughout the United States as well as internationally. We could not be more pleased that the Delaware Theatre Company will be his new artistic home, "said Mr. Marquardt.
