Artistic Director Sean Holmes today announced the Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 Season at the Lyric Hammersmith; including a celebration of the work of one of Europe's most renowned living dramatists Edward Bond.

As previously announced, David Auburn (author of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Broadway smash Proof) will direct this world premiere production. Performances of this two-person play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on June 2, 2011 with an official opening night set for Sunday, June 19, 2011. The Bush Theatre is delighted to announce that Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt and Brick Lane's Christopher Simpson will be starring in The Schools Season: The Knowledge by John Donnelly and Little Platoons by Steve Waters.

Smuggler Films partners, John N. Hart & Patrick Milling Smith and film and theatre producers, Fred Zollo and Barbara Broccoli & Michael G Wilson have announced the creative team for upcoming stage adaptation of the 2007 Academy Award-winning film ONCE, coming to Broadway in Fall 2011. The musical will feature the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh (Penelope, Hunger, The New Electric Ballroom), direction by the acclaimed Scottish director of Black Watch, John Tiffany, design by five time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (The Coast of Utopia, Mary Poppins).
