Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn Join New York Philharmonic, 3/21

Two stars of the stage - Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn -will join the New York Philharmonic for an evening of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Broadway, conducted by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, Monday, March 21, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Ms. O'Hara, fresh off her highly successful run as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theater, returns to the New York Philharmonic following two previous appearances, including her acclaimed starring role as Eliza Doolittle in the Orchestra's 2007 production of My Fair Lady. Baritone Nathan Gunn returns after winning hearts as the swashbuckling Sir Lancelot in the Philharmonic's 2008 Camelot production and his featured role in last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert! The two stage luminaries will perform selections from classic Broadway musicals by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and Stephen Sondheim, ranging from Carousel to Follies.

5th Avenue Theatre Welcomes '9 TO 5', 4/5-24

9 to 5: The Musical arrives at The 5th Avenue Theatre, just in time to brighten the final grey days of spring. Based on the wildly popular 1980s film of the same name, this outrageously funny Broadway delight features the original movie's blockbuster title tune, plus more than a dozen new songs by the queen of country music, iconic songwriter, movie star, and entrepreneur -- Dolly Parton!

DANGEROUS BEAUTY Extends Through March 13, 2011

The new musical DANGEROUS BEAUTY by Jeannine Dominy (book and verse), Michele Brourman (music) and Amanda McBroom (lyrics). Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller directs a cast of twenty that is led by Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease) as Veronica Franco. The production will close on March 13, 2011 at The Pasadena Playhouse (39 S. El Molino Avenue).

Powers Leads DANGEROUS BEAUTY at Pasadena Playhouse, Closes 3/6

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced that full casting is complete for the new musical DANGEROUS BEAUTY by Jeannine Dominy (book), Michele Brourman (music) and Amanda McBroom (lyrics). Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller directs a cast of twenty that is led by Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease) as Veronica Franco. Rehearsals for the world premiere musical begin December 27, 2010. The five-week limited engagement ends March 6, 2011 at The Pasadena Playhouse (39 S. El Molino Avenue).

ROCK OF AGES Hanggi Helms AND THE CURTAIN RISES at Signature Theatre; Begins 3/17

Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre, through its groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project (AMVP), announces the world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly). Beginning performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011, And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's AMVP, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year. The Washington Post has said that 'Signature's AMVP is the most ambitious embrace of new musical theater in the DC region.'

DANGEROUS BEAUTY Extends Through March 13, 2011

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) by special arrangement with Susan Dietz and Tara Smith, announced a one week extension of the new musical DANGEROUS BEAUTY by Jeannine Dominy (book and verse), Michele Brourman (music) and Amanda McBroom (lyrics).

Broadway leading lady Kelli O'Hara and opera star Nathan Gunn will perform selections from Show Boat; Carousel; Kiss Me, Kate; Very Warm for May; Love Life; One Touch of Venus; Street Scene; On the Town; Candide; and West Side Story with the New York Philharmonic, in Classic Broadway, conducted by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, Monday, March 21, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. The pair will perform solos and duets from hit shows by American songwriters Jerome Kern, Kurt Weill, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, and Leonard Bernstein, whose music was matched with words by such celebrated lyricists as Oscar Hammerstein, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and Stephen Sondheim. Joining the principal cast, with previously announced lead actress Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease) as Veronica Franco, are James Snyder (Drama League Award-nominee for Broadway's Crybaby) as Marco, Bryce Ryness (Drama Desk Award-nominee for Broadway's Tony Award-winning revival of Hair) as Maffio, Laila Robins (Broadway's Heartbreak House) as Paola, Michael Rupert (Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Sweet Charity) as Domenico, Megan McGinnis (Ovation Award-nominee for the Rubicon Theatre's Daddy Long Legs) as Beatrice, John Antony (Broadway's Passion) as Pietro and Morgan Weed (Second Stage Theatre's Next to Normal) as Giulia. Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller directs the world premiere, which begins performances on February 1, 2011 with the official press opening on February 13, 2011 at Pasadena Playhouse (39 S.
