The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center continues its winter/spring season in February with ten events in Alice Tully Hall and the Rose Studio.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) has announced the details of its 2019-20 season. Titled Milestones, this celebration of CMS's 50thanniversary will feature the most expansive presentation of chamber music in its history - from its beginnings up to today - through worldwide performances, numerous educational initiatives, and a multi-media exhibition at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. CMS will continue to expand its already extensive free digital offerings, releasing a 50-episode podcast series highlighting some of the best performances from the last five decades.

In 2019, Flushing Town Hall offers a breadth of outstanding global music, family programs, exhibitions, jazz and workshops. From January through June, Flushing Town Hall will present 72 programs, including 18 world music shows, 10 jazz performances, eight family programs, seven classical music concerts, three exhibitions, and more.  The spring season is a continuation of 40th anniversary celebrations of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (FCCA), the steward of Flushing Town Hall.

The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival's spring series is turning five. BCMF Spring 2019, three 5:00 pm concerts - Saturdays in March and May, a Sunday in April - is marking this first milestone on the heels of the 35th anniversary this past summer of BCMF, the longest-running classical music festival on Long Island.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center starts its 2019 winter/spring season in Alice Tully Hall with two exciting performances. The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses, a Meet the Music!concert for families based on Paul Goble's haunting tale of a Native American girl who understands horses on a mystical level, will be presented on January 13. Led by series creator and host Bruce Adolphe, the performance features flutist Sooyun Kim, clarinetist Romie de Guise-Langlois, cellist Mihai Marica, pianist David Kaplan, percussionist Eduardo Leandro, and a free instrumental petting zoo in the lobby for kids. It will be followed by Esteemed Ensemble, which reunites close friends and colleagues pianist Wu Han, violinist Daniel Hope, violist Paul Neubauer, and cellist David Finckel,performing piano quartet classics by Suk, Brahms, and Dvo?ak on January 27 and 29.

This season's eagerly awaited only New York appearance of An die Musik (oboe, string trio, and piano), co-founded in 1976 by pianist Constance Emmerich, will take place on Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2018, 4 pm at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Music Center, 129 West 67th Street, New York, NY. It is hard to overestimate the sense of camaraderie and genuine love of music generated by An die Musik in more than four decades of sold-out concerts.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center moves into fall with nine different programs in Alice Tully Hall and The Rose Studio. A special highlight will be the world premiere of Clarice Assad's Metamorfose as part of the artist-curated Art of the Recital in the Rose Studio series featuring violist Matthew Lipman and pianist Henry Kramer (Nov. 29). Assad, a Grammy-nominated Brazilian-American composer, pianist and arranger, was approached by Lipman to write a work in memory of his mother. She says that Metamorfose 'is an homage to Matt and his mom, a musical portrait of two different people, in two different worlds and instances, bound by the passage of time and love.'

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center opens its 2018-19 season in Alice Tully Hall on Tuesday, October 16 with a program titled Russian Inspiration, a concert underlining CMS' season-long focus on Russia's moving and deeply felt music. The performance will present pianists Michael Brown and Gloria Chien, violinists Benjamin Beilman and Ida Kavafian, violist Paul Neubauer, and cellist David Requiro in a program of works spotlighting composers who influenced Russia's musical evolution, from Viotti and Mozart to Liszt and Schumann.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center opens its fall season in Alice Tully Hall on Tuesday, October 16 with a concert titled Russian Inspiration, underscoring its 2018-19 focus on Russia's inspirational and deeply felt music.

This summer, the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, called 'the crown jewel of chamber music festivals on Long Island – arguably anywhere on the East Coast” by Newsday last year, celebrates its 35th anniversary. A pre-festival ramp-up of five free pop-up concerts around the Hamptons sets the stage, Alan Alda returns to launch the season, hosting a musical portrait of Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn, and the festival features the world premieres of BCMF-commissioned works by Kenji Bunch and Paul Moravec.

One of today's most gifted pianists, Orli Shaham, joins conductor Eric Jacobsen and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra to celebrate the 100thBirthday of one of America's most beloved composers, Leonard Bernstein on Saturday, February 17 at 8 p.m. at the Bob Carr Theater, located at 401 West Livingston Street, Orlando, FL. 32801.

The fourth year of BCMF Spring, the spring series of the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, presents three concerts featuring favorite BCMF musicians, both veteran and recent, and the acclaimed Pacifica Quartet performing some treasures of the chamber music repertoire. Introduced in 2015 as a two-concert series, BCMF Spring has proved a successful expansion of Long Island's longest-running summer classical music festival, and a welcomed addition to the cultural offerings of the East End.

A second performance of 'Brahms and the Schumanns,' narrated by Alan Alda, has been added to the schedule of the 2017 Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival. This program, which opens the festival, will now be performed on July 30 and 31.

At first it was unconscious, then by design: the 34th season of the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, Long Island's longest-running classical music festival, has something of a water theme.

Soprano Jenny Hayden performs a program of German lieder, French chansons and operatic arias on Hoff-Barthelson Music School's HB Artist Recital Series on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 8:00 pm at the Greenville Community Church, 270 Ardsley Road, Scarsdale. Celebrating the unique ability of music and the arts to address challenging social and moral issues, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) presents LIFT EVERY VOICE, a three-week, city-wide series of free and ticketed concerts, conversations and community engagement curated by LACO Music Director Jeffrey Kahane from January 14 to 29, 2017, at venues across the Southland.  LIFT EVERY VOICE, conceived and curated by Kahane to explore themes of tolerance, compassion, cooperation and creativity along with the power of music to encourage understanding and promote peace, was inspired by the lives of human and civil rights champions Rabbi Joachim Prinz, composer Kurt Weill and Martin Luther King, Jr.  The series is a signature part of Kahane's 20th and final LACO season, which features programming that reflects his far-reaching impact, broad musical sensibilities, distinctive philosophical interests and tremendous artistic passion.  Among LIFT EVERY VOICE's highlights are the first Los Angeles performance since the 1950s of Weill's profound anti- apartheid musical Lost in the Stars, directed by Anne Bogart, and Weill/Brecht's satirical The Seven Deadly Sins with chanteuse Storm Large, both provocative works addressing weighty moral issues; violinist Daniel Hope featured on the U.S. premiere of Weill's Song-Suite For Violin and Orchestra arranged by Paul Bateman; the West Coast premiere of Bruce Adolphe's Violin Concerto “I Will Not Remain Silent”; a joint performance with the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA); and symposiums a chamber music program and film screenings.
