This summer, it's 'almost like being in love!' Goodman Theatre produces the first large-scale, professional revival of Brigadoon -- Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick's Loewe's legendary musical of Broadway's Golden Age -- in more than three decades. Under director/choreographer Rachel Rockwell, a company of 28 actors, dancers and singers breathe new life into the enchanting tale of an 18th century Scottish village that appears every century for one day only -- and the complications that arise when it's discovered by two 20th century Americans. With adapter Brian Hill, Rockwell revisits the libretto for this production, while music director Roberta Duchak and an orchestra of 13 use new orchestrations to enhance Loewe's lilting score.
As BroadwayWorld previously reported, After Midnight, the seven-time 2014 Tony® Award-nominee, and winner of the Tony® Award for Best Choreography (Warren Carlyle), will play its final performance on Sunday, June 29 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street). At the time of its closing, After Midnight will have run 8 months, with 19 preview performances and 272 regular performances. Patti LaBelle, who is currently guest starring in AFTER MIDNIGHT on Broadway, told ABC News Radio that she has a few connections up her sleeve that she hopes will save the show before its planned closing (and her final performance) on June 29th. And she says she's not beyond begging; the show is worth it to her.

HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, the eagerly awaited new Broadway musical, will play Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) with previews beginning Tuesday, November 18, 2014 for a Thursday, January 15, 2015 opening night. An exclusive ticket pre-sale through Audience Rewards will begin Monday, June 30 at 10 AM. Single tickets for the production will go on sale on Monday, July 7 via Ticketmaster.com.
Mint Theater's next production will be The Fatal Weakness by George Kelly. Jesse Marchese directs a cast that features Cliff Bemis, Cynthia Darlow, Kristin Griffith, Sean Patrick Hopkins, Patricia Kilgarriff, and Victoria Mack. The Fatal Weakness will have scenic design Vicki R. Davis, costume design by Andrea Varga, lighting design by Christian DeAngelis, original music & sound design by Jane Shaw, and properties design by Joshua Yocom. Performances will begin Tuesday August 19th and continue through October 12th. Opening Night is set for Monday September 15th (7pm) at Mint's home (311 West 43rd Street, just west of 8th Avenue).
