Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2014-15 season of new plays next week with Monica Bauer's Chosen Child.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston's 2014-15 Season continues with THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE by Charles Busch. Directed by Larry Coen, the production will run November 21 - December 20, 2014. Press opening: November 23, 3pm.

Debra Whitfield directs a cast that features Jim DiMunno Tim Dowd, Michael Engberg, Amy Handra, Darrell Purcell, Joshua Quat, Stewart A. Schneck, and Jenn Susi. This limited run continues through September 21st only. Olympics Über Alles will have scenic and lighting design by Duane Pagano with costume design by Janice O'Donnell and sound and projections design by Paul Bourgeois. The performance runs two hours including intermission.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for KING LEAR, the second show of The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Featuring the previously announced John Lithgow as Lear, this enduring tragedy will begin performances on Tuesday, July 22 and run through Sunday, August 17, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 5.

Second Stage Theatre kicks off the 2014 Uptown Series with the New York premiere of AMERICAN HERO, written by Bess Wohl and directed by Leigh Silverman.
