Today, BBVA Compass Broadway at the Hobby Center announced its line-up of shows for the new 2017-2018 season.  HAMILTON will play its Houston engagement April 24-May 20, 2018, and anchor the BBVA Compass Broadway Season with five other shows, all of which will be Houston premieres. 

The most acclaimed, celebrated, and awarded American play in recent memory, The Humans, was also the top-grossing play of 2016 with box office receipts totaling $23,004,513.38.

An American in Paris, the most awarded new musical of 2015 and winner of four Tony Awards, comes to Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this holiday season. The Orlando engagement will play the Walt Disney Theater December 13 -18, 2016. Tickets are on sale to the general public tomorrow, Friday, September 23, 2016.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that the national tour of the Broadway musical HAMILTON will play in Minneapolis at the historic Orpheum Theatre as part of the 2018-2019 Broadway on Hennepin Season.

RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA, the 2013 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of The King & I and The Sound of Music, will play the Marcus Center for a limited engagement from March 28-April 2.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to the Boston Opera House for one week only as a part of its final farewell tour. Performances May 30 - June 4, 2017 as part of the 2016-2017 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Broadway Across Canada announced today that individual tickets for the Winnipeg premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale Monday December 12 at 10am.

Producers Scott Rudin and Barry Diller announced today that the most acclaimed, celebrated, and awarded American play in recent memory, The Humans, will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at its third New York home, the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, after its year-long, smash hit run on Broadway and fourteen weeks Off Broadway.

Hennepin Theatre Trust will present the critically acclaimed National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME as part of the 2016-2017 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin Season Nov. 29-Dec. 4 at the historic Orpheum Theatre. The Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott.

The producers of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage announced casting today for the third year of the North American Tour, which coincides with the film's 30th anniversary. Christopher Tierney, having originally performed the role of Johnny Castle during the 2015 Toronto engagement, returned to the show during its most recent North American tour and will once again thrill audiences alongside the fast-rising young star Bronwyn Reed as Frances 'Baby' Houseman. THE KING AND I, directed by Tony Award® Winner Bartlett Sher won four 2015 Tony Awards® including Best Revival of a Musical.

First reported by the Miami Herald, legendary theatrical publicist Charlie Cinnamon has passed away at 94 years old. The paper reports that Cinnamon died Thursday morning, days short of his 95th birthday.

Kurt Deutsch, President of Ghostlight Records, today announced that the original cast of the Outer Critics Circle Award winner for Best Musical and multi-Tony Award nominated musical Bright Star will reunite for a one-night-only concert to celebrate the show's smash hit Original Cast Recording.
