THE COLOR PURPLE Launches Campaign To Build Houses In New Orleans

This August marked four years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast of the United States and there are still over 14,000 families seeking housing in the greater New Orleans area. Therefore, THE COLOR PURPLE is launching a fundraising campaign to build as many houses as possible by the time the show arrives for its run at the newly refurbished Mahaila Jackson Theatre from December 1 - 6, 2009.
'Good Rockin' Tonight', MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET To Open On Broadway Spring 2010

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the new musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together four of the most legendary figures in the history of rock 'n' roll - Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley - will open on Broadway in the Spring of 2010 in a theatre to be announced.

The new Broadway production of the Tony Award nominated musical GREASE, opens in Orlando at the Carr Performing Arts Centre on August 25 and runs through August 30, 2009. Tickets start at $37.00 and went on sale on July 10, Friday at 10:00AM.

In its last week at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, The Phantom of the Opera would like to give back to the local community by offering a $10 ticket for a donation to Hunger Task Force.

The Broadway touring production of The Phantom of the Opera is in its final week of performances at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. As a way of giving back to the community that has welcomed them and supported them during their stay here in Milwaukee, Phantom has teamed up with Camp Heartland to raise funds to support their mission.
WEST SIDE STORY Announces Changes To The Spanish Integration In The Show

The smash hit revival of WEST SIDE STORY announced today that slight changes have been implemented into the current Broadway production at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street). 'A Boy Like That' is now predominately sung in English to the original lyrics and selected dialogue and lyrics in 'I Feel Pretty' have reverted to English. The changes went into effect last Thursday, August 20, 2009.
