Signal Ensemble Theatre announces the final production in their 2011-2012 season, the Chicago premiere of Hostage Song, May 5 - June 9, at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 West Berenice Ave. Clay McLeod Chapman writes the production with music and lyrics by Kyle Jarrow, directed by Signal's Co-Artistic Director Ronan Marra with music direction by Signal Ensemble Member Jon Steinhagen.

Signal Ensemble Theatre announces their 2011-2012, 9th anniversary season, continuing to perform in their own space, a permanent, leased venue in Chicago's North Center/Lincoln Square district. The group will also debut an initiative called The Ensemble Project, where Signal ensemble members can produce their own projects - including theatre, art, music, and other disciplines - at the Signal space, although not as an 'official' Signal production. The first Ensemble Project event will be Beckett's 'Krapp's Last Tape,' produced and directed by ensemble member Aaron Snook (see below).

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is extending it's production of the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan . It will add performances on August 13,14, 15, 19, 26, 27, & 28. Thursdays -Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. All shows are selling out so it is advised to reserve and pay on Ticketweb. All tickets are released at 10 minutes to showtime. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas. For more information and reservations call (773) 871-0442.
