Comedian and larger-than-life personality MURRAY HILL (aka Mr. Showbiz) gives the much needed gift of holiday cheer and entertainment to New York City with his legendary Yuletide tradition: A MURRAY LITTLE CHRISTMAS at Le Poisson Rouge, Saturday, December 15 at 8pm. Expect an evening of hilarious and wacky skits with the cast, a sleigh full of cheesy holiday songs, plenty of nuts, fruits and tree trimming. Murray also promises a few tender moments when he sings his signature 'Have Yourself a Murray Little Christmas.'

Joe's Pub at The Public announces the second season of its New York Voices series, presenting new works from critically-acclaimed performers commissioned by Joe's Pub and supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The 2013 season will include the celebrated Spanish flamenco dance company Noche Flamenca; the singer-songwriter Abigail Washburn who fuses traditional forms of Appalachian and Chinese folk music; and carnal chanteuse and fearless cabaret star Bridget Everett.

This December marks the end of OUR HIT PARADE, the "hilarious" (New York Post) live, top-ten countdown at Joe's Pub at The Public that has been the centerpiece of New York's downtown performance art scene for over five years. The final shows will be November 14 at 9:30 PM, followed by two specials on December 19 at 7:30 & 10:00 PM including a 2012 TOP TEN COUNTDOWN and HITS OF OUR HIT PARADE. The downtown diva covers all the bases from Mozart to Madonna, branding all with her signature stamp of neo-retro verve. Playing it fast and loose, she beguiles the audience in an evening that brings to mind the heyday of mid-century New York City cabaret, spiked with a post-modern twist. Named a 'Village Voice Best of NYC 2011' for Best Singer to Turn Life Into a Cabaret, she is joined on piano by Obie winner/Tony Award-nominee Kenny Mellman. Okay?

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has unveiled the artist lineup and program schedule for the highly anticipated PRELUDE.12, the ninth annual PRELUDE festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre, dance, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance. In its largest lineup ever, PRELUDE.12 will present over 40 short performances, readings, and screenings -as well as panel discussions with artists, scholars and performers.
