The Laurel Mill Playhouse Annual Summer Youth Shakespeare Theatre, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents A Midsummer Night's Dream. Directed by Michael Hartsfield and produced by Maureen Rogers, this Shakespearean comedy opens Friday, June 25.

HAIR will close on Broadway on June 27th but, before it does the show celebrated it's 500th performance on Friday, June 11th by giving away 500 tickets to lucky fans. Among the night's attendees? None other than Paula Abdul!

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. will present the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan. It will open Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at 8 p.m. and run Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. There will be no performance on July 4th and the Sunday July 25th performance will be at 3 p.m. There will be previews on Tuesday and Wednesday June 22nd and 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets for previews are $5. We will close on Sunday, August 8th, 2010 at 7 p.m. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas. MAMMA'S BOY, making its World Premiere, and LARGER THAN LIFE: THE MUSICAL, taking the stage for the first time in Toronto. Both shows will run in repertoire at The Factory Theatre Studio from May 21 to June 12, 2010.

Richard Sheinmel's World Premiere of POST MODERN LIVING at La MaMa will end its run May 2nd. The production marks the latest installment in Sheinmel's Modern Living play cycle, which began in 2006 at La MaMa.
